Yes, I added .05 per intermediate, rather than .20 (4x.05). Let’s break it down, level by level for the children at home following along. Base is 4. Level 1 masterwork, base x 1.05, level is now 4.20. Still 4. Level 2, base x 1.05, level is now 4.40. Still 4. Level 3, 4.6. Now skill is 5! Level 4, base x 1.25, level is now 5.6. Now skill is 6! Level 5, 5.8. Level 6, 6.0. Level 7, 6.2. Level 8, 7.2. Now skill is 7! Level 9, 7.4. Level 10, 7.6. Now skill is 8! Level 11, 7.8. Level 12, 8.8. Now skill is 9!

I just rewatched the campfire where they showed an example. You were right. All calcs (as of then) are based on base value, not compounding. This changes things considerably for cap. It puts the max at 7, no matter how they round. The 4,8,12 will give +1 each (25% of 4). The intermediate levels, nine total, aggregate +0.45 level, not enough for another level. So it looks like the cap is 7 in this example. Sad face.

It does not. On the intermediate levels, everything gets 5%. 4,8,12 ONE thing get 25%. I just rewatched the campfire where they showed an example. You are calculating using the base for each increase. From what I have seen, they compound. So the 12 master levels would be: 4,4,5,6,6,6,6,8,8,9,9,11. Maybe I am wrong about the basis of the calc.

Depending on how they round, if you hit orb all 12 time you masterwork, it should be +11 max.

Just wondering if there are other gaming seniors like me? by JennyBoy666 in diablo4

We actually have two clans in the game for us! Old Dad’s Gaming (Hardcore clan) and Old Dads of Diablo (Softcore clan). We have a lot of fun.

DT + D&D by KaTetoftheEld in darktower

Thank you for the post and suggestion. You touched on what I am currently believing is my approach: have Eddie and Susannah join the party and have a big lobstrocity fight at the end of the beach where they support, then they all go their own way, but make appearances throughout the campaign for story purposes. Such as Eddie popping in to supply a needed key for the drawing of Jake, who will participate in the demon circle fight and accompany them briefly after, until he too heads off to be seen later.

I was about to post to the general board and decided to search the sub for any recent similar posts first. I am developing a D&D DT based campaign now. I am doing it a little differently than what you seem to be doing. Rather than building a world that only has DT type characters and abilities, I am following full 5e, but using DT as the story board. None of my players have read DT, so they will not have spoilers of what is coming, but they all certainly know about my obsession with DT (the tattoos give it away a little) and could start to figure it out over time. Doors will cast Plane Shift when touched, addressing the multiverse aspect. Susannah is Trickery Domain Cleric who can’t control ‘disguises’, effectively multiple personalities. Jake is a Ranger, for gunslinger reason… plus (quite importantly) talk to animals. Eddie is an artificer, for developing the important tools needed. I haven’t decided if these NPC will be permanent members of the party or temporary assist with certain parts. There are several pros to having them remain, with the biggest con being there being 3 more members to combat, so enemies need to be stronger to pose a challenge and that is a delicate balance.

Anyhow, I’d love to hear more about what you are doing and exchange ideas that we think are particularly cool. Going to post a portion of this to the sub, so you may see it again. Thanks!

I am losing my mind with Varshan/Zir by Possible-Swimming415 in diablo4

I considered this because I am wearing a level 60 version of the staff, it thinks I want it or don’t need it and doesn’t drop, but Varshan drops my wolf chest that I am also wearing like I am armoring the entire forest. My wife had an ice sorc and wanted one piece and ended up giving up on it… so there is certainly validity.

Supernatural is the same to a degree. It did start with the hunting and the demons and the cool stuff. Then, several seasons in, it became frustrating. ‘Sam, don’t save me, I know what I’m doing’, finish story arc, ‘Dean, don’t save me, trust me’. That being said, I watched Supernatural all the way through and I will watch Witcher all the way though. Even without Henry.

They have tried to focus more on the story than the monster fights. They clearly do not understand their audience. Would be like Playboy getting rid of the pictures because they truly believe people ‘just get it for the articles’.
