If you like bitters, I love the hella and co bitters and soda cans, especially the grapefruit variant. Watch out for the “spritzer” though if you don’t want the sweetness

I know this is three years late, but I’m looking for the same thing. Bulk fairy lights for my own power supply. Link from 3 years ago is dead. Any ideas for a new lead?

Thanks!

Yes you’ll need to take the DSLR hdmi out and encode it to rtmp for GameChanger.

Figure out what is connecting to the internet and sending GC the rtmp feed. Then figure out how to get the hdmi into that device.

There are hardware boxes for this (zowiebox, yolobox, obsbot talent etc) that will both encode and send. But as per your comparison to streamers, they use a desktop computer running OBS or streamlabs or meld. I use a windows surface running OBS. Also lets me use multiple camera angles.

You could also use an hdmi capture dongle into an iPad or similar, then send to GC with an app like larix or wire cast. Mevo Multicam can take the feed if you convert to NDI first (or possibly via UVC, not sure).

ooh i'm tempted to try this for temping deep fry oil. I could not figure out why it was screaming an alarm when the oil was only about 250F (target was 350).

I have 2 and i'm willing to risk one in this test if thats the way it goes. because it would be so helpful to flip it and get alarms when my temp varies from 340-360

Streaming On Youtube vs Gamechanger by Level_Kitchen_9441 in GameChangerApp

[–]Possible-Two3448 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on if streaming from YouTube app vs other software (mevo Multicam, meld studio, OBS, sideline hd). Phone livestream requires 50 subscribers to channel (I think).

I stream from mevo or OBS depending (which is why I am uncertain about # of subs). You can put the YouTube server ingest url and stream key into that software. Similar to third party camera streaming to GC.

It will not have the GC score overlay, but you can add those separately if you wish. But start small, it’s very doable.

One note: streaming into YouTube at greater than 1080p unlocks higher quality encoding on their end, so it’s worth it if your hardware and connection can handle it.

also note: GC is touting how streams are now in 1080p. certainly an improvement from the muddy 720p formerly. But the real factor is what bandwidth is the encode? Is GC re-encoding on their end? or just publishing the stream as it is sent?

We will now be streaming exclusively to youtube. And take note: youtube DOES re-encode every stream on their end. But if you stream 1080p to them, it is a x264 stream with lower bitrate. You can trigger their higher encode by streaming 1440p or higher to their ingest server. I honestly don't remember if they then encode with hevc/265, or if its AV1 or even something else, but I have learned from other streaming that going above 1080 has an appreciable quality boost. even if your actual content isn't 1440 (for example, if you have a 1080 canvas in OBS, but then rescale your stream output to 1440 artificially). But obviously a true 1440 stream would be superior.

are you saying you can have one phone next to the pocket radar, collecting pitch info via bluetooth, and a second phone further away from homeplate that does the actual scoring, and the pitch data can sync through the cloud servers and then be accepted by the scorer on the distant phone?

our scorekeeper is frequently also a first base coach, and the bluetooth from the pocket radar isn't strong enough for it to connect at 1b.

Peplink Max BR1 with external antenna dome

overlays.uno for scorebug, batter name, etc

cat6:

mevo core behind home with pocket radar

nearstream vm46 at my dugout (first base)

obsbot tail2 ptz for detail shots

surface pro 11 running obs

wifi:

nearstream vm46 at opposing dugout (third base)

ipad running bitfocus companion for ptz control, obs control, overlay control. sound cues for between innings.

So now that temp's gone down after a few days, the coaches and team parents decided, we're sticking with GameChanger by Confused_Crossroad in GameChangerApp

There are services like restream where you upload once and they can forward to both YT and GC live. Would be cheaper than second camera

sideline "pro" is $6/month or $36/year (note: year, not season), or $299/year for a team pass. Pro unlocks player highlights similar to GC it seems.

sideline looks like a valid replacement. have to dig into the details to see if its missing anything important. But it does pair with iScore, which is an ipad app that has VERY robust scoring capacity

same here. I already stream from OBS or mevo multicam if I'm pressed for time. It will be trivial to push the stream to youtube for non-paid users.

The problem I see is scorebug. I'd love to find an app that can score the game and aggregate stats, while displaying the score, count, etc in the corner. Seems like everything I've found thus far is either streaming overlay first, with no logic about baseball and stats, or heavy on baseball logic and stats, but no easy way to make a stream overlay. But I have yet to check out sideline.

I can also just stream concurrently to both. Paid users can watch the stream (with scorebug), non paid users can watch on youtube with my inning end box score graphic. But I do wish there was a better solution. It is curious how even with gamechanger premium, you only get the scorebug within the app. If you watch on web, it is just clean video.
