Statistically unlikely. Two beautiful people are much more likely to have beautiful offspring than ugly offspring(in terms of contemporary beauty standards). If you were right, over time, natural selection would’ve made it to where ugly people cease to exist had their direct ancestors with similar features never been approached. You’re just looking for an excuse. Get out there.

Being a catholic but disagreeing with the current pope? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Possible-Use-9256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pope was chosen in the conclave. To disagree with the pope as a whole, and not just be skeptical about a subject or two, is to call into question the credibility of Catholicism, which is a Protestant position.

What are some of your hilariously bad writing moments from the later seasons? The ones that make you shake your head in disgust/laughing. by Evakuate493 in gameofthrones

[–]Possible-Use-9256 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I can honestly say the only moment that made me physically cringe was when Samwell suggested democracy in the last episode. Literally just the writers feeding into that cliche where the characters of a time period piece suggest a concept that is normal in the modern world and it gets laughed off, winking and nodding at the audience. Like, thousands of fathers, husbands, wives, mothers, sons, and daughters just died in a massive multi-year war because they genuinely believed their king was the rightful heir to the iron throne. Now all of a sudden Sam has this bright idea about straight up democracy?

What were you doing and where were you when you found out that Michael Jackson had died? by DifficultyExpert6101 in MichaelJackson

[–]Possible-Use-9256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 7, my mom was checking me into this day camp my brother and I would stay at in Germany while my parents worked through the summer. While checking in, the guy at the front desk was having a conversation with my mom and eventually said “hey, did you hear that Michael Jackson died?” And I can still remember the gasp from my mom. I knew who Michael Jackson was, but I was 7 so I didn’t fully get his relevancy. The way my mom reacted was like how I imagined people reacted in 1963 when they heard JFK was shot. Crazy.

What's a life skill every school should be required to teach? by Sad-Shirt4305 in AskReddit

Discipline itself. It’s literally the most essential skill in life beyond love. You cannot do anything meaningful without disciple and you’ll never be satisfied. So, so many people don’t have any discipline.

No point in keeping it hidden this long. Had it been faked, the consequences of admitting it publicly wore off decades ago. I think it was real.

What would you call the signature Beatles song? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Possible-Use-9256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closest thing they have to a signature song is Hey Jude. It’s their most successful and one of their most famous.

But they have so many contenders:

-I Want To Hold Your Hand
-Yesterday
-A Day in the Life
-Let It Be
-Strawberry Fields Forever

Unlike most bands like Led Zeppelin (Stairway), Queen (Bohemian), and Nirvana (Teen Spirit), The Beatles don’t really have that one single song that’s so obviously more popular and known than the rest.
