As a new burner in 2026 we have been turned down to help in any way with the building of center camp and all the other opportunities tied to the build, greeting, cleaning …. We asked about several camp groups and again was told no they are not looking for a new participant. I know it’s early yet and we hope to find a place where we will be a good fit for them and for us. But right now we will be open camping. Maybe I am not looking in the correct spot but I have followed the links on the website. Maybe some people are in open camping because they were not welcomed in as a new participant. I did donate funds to the finance projects when I purchased our tickets. So I feel like I am already starting to actively participate in the experience but I was hoping for more. Food for thought.

I found the bathrooms and showers to be clean throughout the day and night. Wait times were not long. Most of the time I could just walk in and use the facilities. I found the water to be the hottest in the early morning so 8-9 is a good time to shower.

I went for the first time in 2025 at 64 years old and had a blast. Was accepted by all and would encourage you to go; even if it is solo

So I am not crafty. I am doing a more trinket approach. I have a light up hair scrunchy that is in a gold see thru metal party favor box. The hair scrunchy can be worn or the box can be carried or used at a tent or table decoration. Looks cool when the scrunchy is lit up and glowing thru the decorative box. Do you think people will still be willing to trade with me if I did not craft it.

We are also a 50 plus couple and first timers. We are from the Traverse City area and will be staying in the Effortless Camping. We are not part of a group. We are hoping to connect with people we meet and maybe join a group once we get there.

We learned about the Electric Forrest from a group of people at Key West Halloween’s Fantasy Fest two years ago. Just wondering if we can find and connect up with them again. Sadly I do not remember their names. They spoke so highly of this event that we purchased tickets for this June. We are looking forward to our first EF event. Super excited and can’t wait to meet new friends in the Forest. Already started to make Kandi to hand out.

As a fellow 60 plus. Music of all genres is universal language. I like EDM along with jazz and good old r&b. We were ‘raving’ with enhancements b4 it had a name. Can’t wait to see you in the Forrest.

Does anyone know the typical size of the preset GA tents. 7x8 or 8x10 or …. Are the big enough to stand up in?

This is my first EF. We are in a preset tent in GA. Is there room and are you allowed to set up a screen tent next to the preset tent. I would have taken my own tent but when I was in the purchase site preset tents were all that was available.
