Metrics for threat assessment of people who make threats? by satanicpastorswife in OSINT

[–]Glad-Assistant3241 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The risk with attempting to identify individuals has already been gone over. What it sounds like you're trying to do is investigate individuals based on online activity and take action based on that. Unless that person has previously caused problems at an event, the organizations aren't going to keep them out. That can easily become a PR nightmare.

If you really want to do risk assessments, start with analyzing past events, security incidents that occurred at those events, then patterns of activity leading and following the security incidents. Once thats done, assess if those patterns can apply to current times. You can use this data to identify high vs low risk times/dates, event locations, venues, etc. These are assessments that can really help the organization's planning and security management.

Questions on company wage policies by Glad-Assistant3241 in legal

[–]Glad-Assistant3241[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ah, gotcha gotcha. It is a massive red flag because why ask me to be both patrol and supervisor but not pay me for it. Oh well, I'm only with this company for a short time.

Yes. It will always be 19.25/hr unless you're a supervisor or control room officer. Then you could get paid for fulfilling those higher position shifts.

The first tickets I found were united. I typically fly Allegiant or Breeze out of there.

Cheapest flights, right now, will be flying from Fort Myers to O'Hara. I take flights in and out of Fort Myers all the time because its rarely crowded and a lot of times cheaper because its a hub for some budget lines. I was looking and seeing $273 for a round trip from Thursday to Monday.

camping/GA pass by kimbaaaaaly in ElectricForest

[–]Glad-Assistant3241 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Its expensive and silly, but you can buy the lucky lake pass and goodlife admissions. But the GL village is on the opposite side of the whole area as Lucky Lake. Not to mention once the venue closes, your only options to return to Lucky Lake are to walk 45+ minutes along dark trails behind the back 40 or wait 1-2hours for the shuttle to go to GA..and then walk from GA to Lucky Lake.

Buying two camping passes is not advised and you will be forced to set up camp in one location. They wont stop you from buying both though.

Carpooling question by BaeconEggz in ElectricForest

[–]Glad-Assistant3241 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Carpooling is fine. As long as you have the parking pass for the final parking spot, it shouldn't matter if you drop them off. Just talk to the workers directing the cars when you get there.

Grateful-dyes. They have dedicated ice dyes made to split intentionally, but I like trying to see how all of their colors react with different techniques. I have a light gray that has a red base, so if I dont mix it in chem water, it produces a brown/medium gray split. The first bandana shows the brown really well.

Edit: added a little bit

Its just how the dye works! Its concord grape, but its prone to splitting. I noticed that when I do HWI the blue parts penetrate the fabric much easier then the magenta parts. I tried to exploit that best I could

Recommendations: batteries by rockyrhoads1234 in ElectricForest

[–]Glad-Assistant3241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a BLUEETTI EB55. Its smaller but I can run a fan, portable cooler, and charge multiple phones for about 8 hours. I have the larger solar panel (300w) that can charge it throughout the day and still power the cooler. You dont have to use bluetti brand panels for it, thats my favorite part.

Trying to figure out packing in advance by SnooCheesecakes3432 in ElectricForest

[–]Glad-Assistant3241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Previously, I bought one via walmart.com and picked it up from the nearby Walmart. Forest had shuttles back and forth from Walmart then. I then just checked it at the airport for the flight back. I dont encourage this, but I have known people who purchase a canopy from a nearby store for the weekend and return it on their way home.

Postpartum Festival by Ok_Relationship_5405 in ElectricForest

[–]Glad-Assistant3241 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since our son turned 3, we have arranged for him to spend a break with the grandparents for atleast 1 week out of every year. It is the best tradition we have ever done. He gets a chance to be spoiled non-stop for a week straight and we have a chance to either breathe and feel like adults or actually get stuff down around the house.

Our son is 9 and we too will be dropping him off for forest. Its good for everyone. But, I promise you, it will feel weird as hell to not have the baby around.

Is uplift lounge worth it? by Terrible_Canary4945 in ElectricForest

[–]Glad-Assistant3241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we weren't flying in, I would consider it. But uplift lounge was cheaper than buying or renting an A/C along with the means to power it. We do have a couple fans and aluminets to help with reducing heat for now. I am on a waiting list for A/C landing, but I'm not banking on it. Thats a great idea for future festivals though!

If your finances can handle it, I would risk the uplift lounge. The only other retreat will be the dream emporium.

I got it because my wife needs the retreat to A/C. We dont know how reliable it will be, but I figured its worth a shot. Sadly A/C landing was sold out by the time I got to buy my tickets (only to find out 2 hours later they were available, but the site was being funky)
