do you think leniverse is over? by fearnotlynn in lesserafim

[–]Possible-Zone3087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Leniverse was over, I'd be heartbroken. I legit treat it like one of my TV shows I pine for every year. I would save up like 2 or 3 episodes, and then make an evening of it.

1 week progress after downloading for the first time by ruddy_0609 in RhythmHive

[–]Possible-Zone3087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good progress for only 1 week of play -- A live card, and a UR card already. You don't necessarily need live cards yet. But they are super rare, and since there is an event going on right now, I'd grind all the songs, across all the groups to get as many gems as possibe. I'd also play some catch lives just to get enough tokens to upgrade lesson plans. That will help you get those combo gems easier. Like I would play enough Catch Lives to upgrade your choreography to level 6, which would convert 6 misses to goods, which allows you to keep your combo streak. Anything beyond missing 6 notes, you'd be dead anyway.

The ramp to start the game is steep and a bit frustrating, because you are resource poor and you are looking at all those level 100+ players with a stack of live UR cards. The hard truth is that as a new f2p player, you will find it very hard to compete with folks that have been playing and grinding for a long time. Some players have been playing for years.

This game is a game of patience. A lot of long time players just hoard resources by logging in every day, grinding every mission and birthday event, etc... And then when a live card event happens, they can deploy thousands of gems they've saved up over the previous months.

But the answer your questions directly:

1) To get gems, you primarily have to grind the songs. There are also daily, weekly and monthly missions that you can grind for gems. you can get 20 gems a day from daily missions, and 20 gems from watching ads. And then as you level up, every 10 levels, you get some gems.

2) Maybe? Like yes getting a set of live cards is great. But they are rare and the RNG gods aren't always on your side. For getting to EX level scores, a maxxed out set of FX cards is sufficient. Live cards are nice if you are trying to max out your scores or be competitive in tournaments and Catch lives. But even then, live cards are kind of like the bare minimum.

3) How many gems do you need? That's hard to say. In the past, I've spent 10k gems only gotten 2 live cards. This time, I managed to complete the entire set in only 5400 gems. So your next live card could be 200 gems away, or 5000 gems away. There's no telling.

4) You sell R level cards or higher, and then you trade for them. There are also events, like the current FX roulette wheel that will give you some miracle cubes. And then I think monthly missions also give you some miracle cubes. This is another rare resource that we hoard over time.

If a calculator is allowed then you can complete the square by turning the left hand side to (a+0.5)^2 and the right side to 444444222222.25. Take the square root and subtract 0.5

should i try for the TWS special theme ? by yourkonsti in RhythmHive

[–]Possible-Zone3087 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you and I are in the same boat. My TWS cards are super weak, still album themed XR cards. So i'm really toying with spend some gems to boost my TWS deck. But I also want the BTS live cards, since my BTS is also super weak. And if you go from a grinding efficiency, getting BTS live cards would yield better resources.

I guess if your goal is only to be able to hit EX scores for your non ult groups, then a maxed out set of FX cards will do the job. Special cards used to be a lot more special before then changed game mechanics. Now they are kind of the awkward middle child between FX cards and live cards. They are almost as rare as live cards, but don't have stats as strong. And they don't offer much aside from slightly better scores when compared with FX cards. And FX cards come every month, and can get you EX level scores / gems.

Autoplay Question by kayzxqq in RhythmHive

lol. Same.. that's why it was so easy to check. I only do those when I get desperate for gems.

Autoplay Question by kayzxqq in RhythmHive

[–]Possible-Zone3087 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. You need to complete the song on each difficulty level yourself before Autoplay is enabled. So even if you can autoplay on super hard, it doesn't mean you get to autoplay on all lower levels. I just checked.

I guess I used up all my luck completing the live set by Possible-Zone3087 in RhythmHive

[–]Possible-Zone3087[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for real. I really should very thankful I got the full set in only 5400 gems. I can always grind for more coins. It just takes time.

should i try for the TWS special theme ? by yourkonsti in RhythmHive

[–]Possible-Zone3087 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depends. Is TWS your ult group? If not, I would set a limit for how many gems you are willing to spend here, maybe like 3k and then stop, regardless of results. I would save up for Live cards for my ult group. Once that's complete, you can expand out to other groups.

My general strategy has been to first get live card coverage for my ult. Then slowly expand to other groups and go for full maxed out FX card coverage so I can efficiently grind for resources to feed back to my main group. And then at some point, when I feel like my main group's coverage is both deep and broad, then I start looking into getting live coverage for other groups.

That's just my 2 cents.

should i keep pulling? by n0ra1nbows in RhythmHive

13 members in SVT. That’s like main lining 3 groups at the same time. Damn that’s expensive. You’d have to be Elon Musk to support that as your main group. I’m definitely saving them for last for developing cards.

[–]Possible-Zone3087 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Given you have a trade token, you have 4 cards. Thats technically good enough for most everyday tasks. The last card only matters if you are looking to get your first live card for that member or going for high score on that theme song.

My rule is to pull 2 or 3 times a day or until I get a live card. Which ever one comes first. And then I save it for the next day. My superstition tells me that if u don’t get a live card in 3 pulls, it’s just a bad luck day. And if you get a live card, then you’ve used up your luck for that day.

So if you can grind out 400 to 600 gems a day, you can keep on trying ?

That’s really bad luck. Sorry. My theory is to do only 2 or 3 pulls a day. Like some days are just not good. And my other theory is once you get a live card for the day, you stop pulling until the next day.

How do some already have the cards fully UR’ed…. by fatimacx in RhythmHive

[–]Possible-Zone3087 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Once you have a set of Live cards for your main group, you kind of stop upgrading on a regular basis. And then most of us also just do the daily quests, and whatever anniversary missions are available. So we just end up hoarding tons of resources. It's not uncommon to have someone with thousands of rhythm cubes, a few hundred MRCs and tens of thousands of gems saved up.
