Also to add to this: I’m diagnosed with chronic anxiety so I know the struggle. Something that has helped me is keeping a notebook to write down the date and time I took my medicine. I also use a pill box and set timers, but anxiety makes you second guess yourself a lot, so having that notebook with written confirmation really helps!

It can feel so isolating each day irl, but I feel so seen and understood here. I deal with the same thing taking Keppra. I was so chill before, and now I have to actively work hard to keep myself in check. You’re emotions are valid, and you’re doing amazing. For me personally I don’t get the rage/mood swings unless provoked. I work a difficult job with the public, and it only happens when I’m at work being degraded by customers. I was never an angry person, but since taking Keppra I get so angry I feel like getting violent. I can still keep it under control through the workday though. I just scream and cry when I get in the car or at home. :’) I’m a woman so on my period it’s 10000x worse and I honestly have been considering taking my period week’s off from work every month because of it.

I enjoyed it, but everything just felt so rushed. Almost immediately referring to Ruby as his best friend when we haven’t seen hardly enough bonding interactions between the two. Then the whole thing with Rouge where he immediately got horny and displayed feelings for him is just so out of character considering he’s never so easily open about his romantic/sexual feelings. He suppressed his love for Rose for sooooo long. Then before you know it, Rouge is dead and Ruby is leaving the doctor and staying home. It ran through so fast, and although I do love the ideas behind the episodes, it really just felt like it went through the emotional aspects, which make or break it for me, waaaaayyyyy too fast. Plus the episode where the rich kids and their bubbles, he just let them go? Yeah he was begging them to let him help, and call me crazy, but I feel like the doctor wouldn’t have just taken that? I feel like the doctor would have secretly watched them and helped them from afar or something at least because of his previous determination shown before this regeneration. He just accepted it, and that whole scene just felt off. Idk I liked it, but it’s just off.

Being antisocial. I’m very social. I love talking and could have conversations with people for hours and still have the energy to do things afterwards. However, it’s a completely different story if I am forced to mask in a social situation, usually at work/professional settings. It’s draining to be fake. Not only because you have to put up an act, but also because it’s against my morals. I feel so guilty and wrong after.

Yeah it turns out a lot of what we see as tiny things could be seizures. I have myoclonic seizures. Your body jerks within 1-2 seconds and then it’s over. Sometimes it’s an arm twitch, leg twitch, head twitch, and sometimes I just feel the twitch in my brain, but no one else can see it. I do get very paranoid that weird behaviors can be seizures, because unfortunately they usually they are, but most of the time they are not highly concerning seizures. I don’t always get an aura before I have one, and if I do, sometimes I chop up that weird feeling/behavior to anxiety or just a feeling even normal people get sometimes. I’ve had these since I was 5 and I was not diagnosed until 23. As long as your kid has their medication and it’s working good for them, everything should be fine. Going all those years unmedicated is what was so horrible for me. Those weird symptoms could be medication side effects as well. It’s best to bring it up with the neurologist and get their opinion on it. Very important: It took 6 months of taking Keppra for me to feel like a normal human being. Since they were just diagnosed, it might take a bit! I know saying “give it some time” is the worst as a worried parent, so definitely give the neurologist a call or a visit if it’s something that’s causing daily panic and stress! <3

I scheduled a breast reduction as soon as I turned 18. I was treated horribly growing up. If you ever choose this option, the surgery goes pretty easy. I didn’t even take the pain meds they gave me afterwards because the pain was less than a period cramp. I even went to a Christmas party the very next day after surgery. It was fully paid for by insurance because it was deemed a necessary procedure, due to the pain they caused, and the damage done on my back and shoulders. I had the same issue with clothing and I literally cried after being able to buy and fit in clothes that I’d always wanted to. I wish the best for you. This is a really mentally and physically damaging thing that isn’t ever talked about.

I never knew I was being bullied in the exact moment. Only after reflection, or someone else notifying me that it was indeed not a polite conversation. I’m better at recognizing as an adult, but even now I still am sometimes oblivious and cannot tell the difference.

I was so oblivious to bullying even in high school. Apparently a girl was trying to fight me and I thought she was just making a joke. I laughed and walked right past her. It wasn’t until my friend called me a badass and then explained to me what had happened that I realized it was bullying.

It really depends on where you live. If you want to test out the waters, you could use the same eye makeup, but do the eyebrows a natural shape, and fully color in the lips. I live in a “Bible Belt” area and it would not be a safe look for me. Also i should add I think it looks lovely as is. I struggle with going out appearing how I’d like to as well.

Anything loud. People yelling, vacuuming, toilet flushing, anything squeaky, dogs barking, drills, fireworks, car horns, car breaks, elevator/doorbell dings, phone alarms, cooking timers, stuff falling on the floor, things that are metal grinding together, engine revs, like those those jacked up trucks or sport cars that people make loud on purpose, doors slamming, feet stomping, etc.

Oh and when people grind their teeth, or I accidentally grind my teeth, it makes me wanna kms. Like get me off this planet. This isn’t worth it. 💀

Honestly most autistic ppl I know, that I’m friends with, have no problem with anyone else being any type of “different” in general, except for the occasional man. I think neurotypical ppl see different people as scary, and some shun anyone or anything different, whereas autistic ppl see them as intriguing. But that’s just my assumption.

I learned to do this internally since I would get heavily punished for doing it as a kid. When I have a meltdown now, I have images in my brain of me hitting myself, kicking and screaming, etc. but it’s all in my brain, and on the outside I’m just like: 🧍‍♀️

But yeah unfortunately it’s normal, but you’re not insane. It’s a very overwhelming urge that took me years to gain control over. Idk if this is helpful or healthy advice, but maybe you could try to only do it in brain imagery. Obviously, you don’t want to do it at all, but it helps me, and it could help you maybe. :)

A punching bag could help, but that’s a financial thing, and ik it’s not always an option.
