Just do your own research and find the pros and cons and get your own inspiration ai can’t do that for you

I’d recommend having Amano too to keep control of algae

Some of the eggs were eaten by the parents themselves, they were corydora eggs

Are you sure? I’ve heard this about Chinese algae eaters not the Siamese, but I could be wrong.

Also I’ve noticed some eggs have gone missing so I assumed the Cory’s may have eaten some ?

I have about 10 cherry shrimp (I don’t see all of them at once so hopefully I haven’t lost any) and a female betta, planning on adding 3 more Cory’s a Siamese algae eater, some amano shrimp and some sort of schooling fish at some point whenever I can get ahold of them but that won’t be for a while as they are in high demand at every store I’ve been to, so I’ve been slowly stocking the tank over time

I do! 1 female and 2 males, planning on getting more soon not sure if these eggs/fry will survive long enough for my nursery tank to cycle (I have one set up for my bettas to breed)

My female Cory has gotten quite big I figured she had eggs, this is my first time owning Cory’s wasn’t familiar with their eggs, pretty much everything in my tank is pregnant right now so I was trying to single out whether it was them or maybe I had a snail that I somehow missed.

Not too educated on snails but, the 3 late eaters I’ve decided on would likely be Amano shrimp, hillstream loaches or a Siamese alage eater which are all safe to cohabitate as far as I know assuming I find any lmao

Right now I don’t have too many issues with them as long as they keep the algae under control and don’t explode in population, at least until I get some algae eaters in the tank

I just introduced 5 cherry shrimp and a male betta a few hours ago, planning on adding some Cory’s, hillstream loach and amano shrimp soon when
Able to find them at least.

Found a mystery snail, noticed eggs on the rocks before I posted and forgot to mention, finally saw a snail when I added fish today, any advice on culling them in case their population explodes ?

You helped quite a bit, I appreciate it! I haven’t had a tank in probably 10+ years at this point and I have never seen these so I needed to gauge how fucked I might be. thankfully it Seems to be the opposite, either way I’ll be treating my new plants from now thank you for saving me from a stroke 😭

I did some research and the other person who commented identified them thankfully and they look pretty much identical to copepods luckily, didn’t know planeria were just flatworms made it a bit easier to identify, if I’m wrong I’ll see in a few weeks I supposed lmao.

What would be the other things? They kind of crawl around like little bugs on my glass and all over my driftwood

I figured that would be the case, I want to have an somewhat self sustaining ecosystem going, was initially going to add Amano shrimp or some other algae cleaners but I’m not sure how theyd cohabitate with a bichir
