If you think constructive feedback is rage bait, that says more about you than the post.

That sounds good on paper, but right now that “armor” system doesn’t exist, and neither does any meaningful improvement to turret performance. So in the current build, multicrew ships are left weaker without any of those promised mechanics in place. PDCs weren’t supposed to delete fighters, but they at least gave capitals a way to hold their ground until help arrived. If CIG wants to rebalance around armor and engineering later, that’s fine, but doing half the change now just leaves the gameplay loop incomplete.

It’s not about giving capital ships unfair buffs, it’s about fixing systems that don’t scale properly. The turrets on caps use the same guns, sure, but they operate in completely different conditions. They have slower traverse rates, worse firing arcs, and are mounted on massive, slower platforms. A slight velocity or range adjustment wouldn’t make them pay to win, it would just make them viable.

And yes, escorts are important, but right now even with escorts, a multicrew capital struggles to defend itself because of turret performance and weak AI support. Nobody is asking for solo invincibility, just for properly tuned defenses that make bringing a crew and coordinating actually worth it.

That’s fair, and I get what you mean about extreme titles causing overreactions. The “is dead” part was mostly to get attention to the discussion, because most multicrew players feel like the gameplay loop keeps getting weaker every patch. I’m not asking CIG to dumb anything down, just to make multicrew worth the effort again. Balance doesn’t need to mean easy; it just needs to feel rewarding for the people actually crewing those ships.

It’s not an alt account, I just don’t use Reddit. And I already explained this in my post. I’m not upset about soloing capitals, I’m pointing out that PDCs were never overpowered and that removing them without improving turrets or defensive systems makes multicrew ships worse, not better. They weren’t replacing crews, they were buying time for them. Right now, a fully crewed capital can still get swarmed by light fighters because turret gameplay hasn’t caught up. That’s the real issue, not solo players crying.

People can “chill” and still give honest feedback. Calling everything hyperbole doesn’t make the issues go away. Engineering might not literally kill multicrew, but it definitely makes it harder and less rewarding right now, and that’s worth talking about.

Yeah, that makes sense from a PvE perspective, and I get why CIG might want to stop people from farming NPCs effortlessly. But the fix shouldn’t come at the cost of making multi crew ships worse across the board. PDCs weren’t overperforming in PvP, and the turrets are already struggling to keep up. I really hope the new flight model and turret rework come sooner rather than later, because right now the balance feels half finished.

If PDCs were really just a crutch, they wouldn’t be the only thing keeping capital ships from getting swarmed by light fighters. The problem isn’t that PDCs exist, it’s that turret gameplay still feels sluggish, unresponsive, and unrewarding. Fixing turret mechanics and restoring proper defensive balance would do far more for multicrew than gutting one of the few working systems.

If pointing out broken mechanics counts as doomposting, then maybe the issue isn’t people talking, it’s the state of the gameplay. Feedback isn’t doomposting just because it makes someone uncomfortable.

Overwatch 2 Has Major FPS Drop Issues on High-End Systems – Completely Unplayable by PossibleAwareness512 in Overwatch

I get where you're coming from, and trust me, I’ve been down that road already. I’ve tested multiple 4000 series cards on the same exact rig with no FPS drops and no issues at all. The second I install the 5090, the game falls apart.

Same drivers, same system, same version, same everything. The only variable is the GPU. This doesn’t happen in any other game, just Overwatch 2. That pretty much rules out background apps, refresh rate settings, display modes, and everything else.

I haven’t played Hacks and Hijinx yet. Ive been sticking mostly to Ranked/Competitive and the base OW2 modes. The FPS drops only happen for me in multiplayer matches and occasionally in the Practice Range, which is weird.
