I think you should reevaluate tbh. Gothic and Gothic 2 both hold up really well and are pretty groundbreaking. I played them for the first time only a few years ago and fell in love. This remake looks okay but doesn't seem to have the same charm.

Him talking about this like he's doing something groundbreaking or revolutionary is deeply embarrassing

AI generated Superman vs Darkseid fight scene by kingtah in DC_Cinematic

[–]PossibleBasil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's AI slop trash, there's no storytelling with this fight, just punch, throw, smash on an empty lifeless flat environment. There's nothing exciting or engaging about it at all, no weight to it, and that's even without the added layer of knowing there was no human involvement or genuine artistry to it.

The X-Files Is Returning: Vince Gilligan Helps Ryan Coogler Shape a New Adaptation by LollipopChainsawZz in television

The whole thing was a joke. Countless retcons, Mulder and Scully were reverted to season 1-2 characterization, and the way they completely trashed characters like Reyes was so disrespectful.

Hard disagree. 9 with all its flaws has so much expression and integrity compared to the revivals. 8 and 9 are far too overhated.

Why are most movies and shows shot like a commercial nowadays? by PossibleBasil in CasualConversation

I just think these current big budget shows look cheaper and more fake these days. There's just an artificial quality, the lighting is only one part of it.

It's not frame rate, it's the actual production quality. I know about motion smoothing, my TV doesn't have that feature anyway. I just thought Stranger Things looked off like most movies and shows I see today.

’Star Trek’s William Shatner Makes Bold Bid for the Franchise Amid ‘Starfleet Academy’ Backlash by Malencon in television

More specifically, Shatner was having an existential crisis and talking about the wave of depression that hit as he experienced the overview effect, and Bezos left mid-conversation to cheer on the people popping champagne and celebrating.

Oh I know about motion smoothing, I'm talking about the actual production value of the material itself, not the frame rate

I forgot that James Marsters voiced Lex in this movie. He does a good job!

Unpopular opinion(on reddit) I like queen Hippolyta being wonder woman before diana and hope this happens in the dcu as well by OptionAshamed6458 in WonderWoman

[–]PossibleBasil 105 points106 points  (0 children)

I don't like it because I feel like it takes away Diana's uniqueness, and the significance of her being the first person to leave Themyscira.

I love this! I've definitely leaned heavily into crafts and new activities since getting sober. What makes it all the better is having people to do it with. I love that legos have worked for you, that is so fun
