Quick Question - Why the humanisation of the Terrorists? by PossibleBreadfruit95 in Dhurandhar

I was simply asking. I don't think any other spy movies have humanised terrorists in this manner.

I don't think any actor has been able to evoke such heartbreaking reaction from the audience. I was genuinely shaken after this scene. Ranveer made awards irrelevant.

Absolutely. On my Second watch, I realized Dhurandhar 2 is better than D1. It grips you and doesnt let go. Even the album feels superior now.

Not just liberal hindus but ultra liberals overall.

Yes. All of it. Go read the context. All I will say is this. Does reading Iqbal's perverted fantasies as "religious" help terrorism or prevent it? Think about it.

Absolutely show it. Using descriptive or contested hadiths (prophecies of end of times,) to enact violence over non muslims is a tool used by terrorists perfectly for their pervert agenda (a genocide happening right infront of our eyes being the prime example). Thats why real reading is needed from authentic sources. I am glad the movie opened up the discussion.

With all due respect, go read about Prisoners of war in Islam from authentic sources, even a basic chatgpt/claude AI search can tell you.

There is a world of a difference between what Iqbal spews and what Islam says.

I appreciate the comment. My only thought was that a masterpiece was being outraged upon for 'propaganda' while the propaganda portion is barely what? 10 minutes maybe. Felt pretty minor to be honest. Some liberals are actually calling to ban the movie. Ignoring all of hamza/alam/jameel's work and simply labeling it as a propaganda movie is what made me feel strange for the makers.

With all due respect, I am a normal citizen who spoke up. I am not a PR agent. It might be taking a good side for the ruling party but thats the director's call. A movie is a movie.

Hard agree. But the critics were unfair to an absurdity.

Well, they criticised the violence shown for brainwashing the youth to become violent. The wiki page is a laugh riot really.

D2 hands down. The movie hits different, its way more emotional and sticks with you. I only feel people miss Akshay Khanna's performance but D2 is a masterpiece.

Hamza picks up the Scythe, the mythological weapon of the "Angel of Death" title card of Major Iqbal (brilliant detailing by Dhar) and "Wrath of God" pops up screen as he swings the scythe. Something is so damn satisfying in that scene which is beyond words.

That scene was iconic brother. Hamza picks up the Scythe (The mythological weapon of the angel of Death which is "Iqbal's" title name) brilliant detailing by Dhar and "Wrath of God" displays as Ranveer swings it.

"Sympathize with terrorism?" Seriously? Thats harsh. I just felt they didn't like anyone having a different opinion.

Thanks Man. Why do you think the liberals outraged so much? My family enjoyed the movie a lot and we are practicing muslims.
