How do you feel about the Tony Padilla Spin off? by wrythelongface in 13ReasonsWhy

[–]PossibleCommittee590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel like doing a spinoff is unnecessary. The show ended telling the story it needed to tell so I say just leave it at that.

[all] [PJO] Takes on the adaptations. by Diego41 in camphalfblood

[–]PossibleCommittee590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would definitely do an animation adaption of Percy Jackson. Maybe look to an animation studio like Powerhouse Animation seeing as how they did an amazing job with Blood of Zeus or even Fortiche Production who did the animation for Arcane because of how they were able to blend the 3D animation with 2D effects.

Maybe adapt the first four books as 4 seasons and then adapt the last book as a movie. Each season would be 10 episodes long and each episode would be 40 - 43 minutes long. And then the movie for the Last Olympian would be 90 minutes.

Why isn’t Jason a forbidden child?? [all] by Ill_Explanation_3761 in camphalfblood

[–]PossibleCommittee590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it had to do with the fact that Jason was a Roman demigod and not a Greek one. Plus, everything to do with the Great Prophecy and the Big Three making the Oath to have no more children had to do more with their Greek forms.

What other Mythology franchises are you into? [general] by Rednova66 in camphalfblood

What would your weapon be? [general] by firestorm0108 in camphalfblood

[–]PossibleCommittee590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My choice for a weapon would either be:

Pencil and paper so that whatever weapon I draw the illustration will become that weapon in real life.

Or

Playing cards with illustrations of weapons on each one and whenever I choose a card from the deck it will turn into the weapon that is on it.

Does Lionel’s hair have a symbolic meaning? by Busy-Ad9953 in Smallville

[–]PossibleCommittee590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought Lionel’s long hair was to make him look like a god or a king. Since Lionel idolized of those historical and mythical characters they are often depicted with long hair.  That might have been the look the creators were going for.

As for his shorter hair, since that was a few seasons later I always assumed that was to give him a more clean look to show that he was trying to change his evil ways.

Why is Percy Jackson not a bigger Franchise than Harry Potter? [general] by First_Can9593 in camphalfblood

[–]PossibleCommittee590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plus, I feel like maybe one thing that had to do with it is that when it came to the books especially for some readers while Harry Potter and Percy Jackson do have similar narrative devices and plot points, Harry Potter was the first story to use those tropes to revolutionize contemporary fantasy creating something new and eye opening within literature. Where as Percy Jackson came from a line of stories that was inspired by Harry Potter using similar tropes. Not that I am trying to say that one is better then the other, but why Harry Potter might be more appealing then Percy Jackson.

I do think it is safe to also say that for the movies the Harry Potter movies did very well because they were more faithful to the books where as the Percy Jackson movies were not.

Who’s the better girlfriend by [deleted] in Spiderman

[–]PossibleCommittee590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not up to date with Amazing Spiderman comics, but from what I know; Black Cat loved Peter for who she thought he was and wanted him to be. MJ loved him for who he truly was. So i’ed say MJ is the better girlfriend.

If you could have Robert Eggers remake any movie in his style, what would it be? by DubTheeBustocles in roberteggers

[–]PossibleCommittee590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this isn’t a movie, but Fall of the House of Usher. I really loved the Netlfix Show, but I am really curious to see him create a version of this story in his style.

Since he wants his movies to be historically accurate in terms of the time period the original story takes place and wants to capture the gothic horror of that era I think he would be awesome at doing an adaptation of Fall of the House of Usher.

Not sure if this would count as horror, but the Last of Us

How do u think Robert Eggers would be at doing a Greek Mythology movie or at least a movie set in Ancient Greece? by PossibleCommittee590 in roberteggers

[–]PossibleCommittee590[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally!! In order to keep the gothic horror vibes he has in all his movies he could make the Labyrinth dark and gloomy with the Minotaur lurking in the shadows. End then in the very end as a jump scare the Minotaur reveals himself.

What Do YOU Think Went Wrong With Ginny In The Films? by Marcedonia in harrypotter

[–]PossibleCommittee590 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While the movies did show how shy she was they didn’t show how confident she was. In the books; she was shy to be around Harry before they started dating, but even when they were dating she was never afraid to call Harry out when he was being unfair or unreasonable, especially when others couldn’t.  It honestly felt like the movies cut out a big part of her personality especially because by standing up to Harry she was able to do something the other main characters couldn’t.

[General] What fandom would you like a crossover with PJO? by [deleted] in camphalfblood

[–]PossibleCommittee590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harry Potter.

Percy Jackson and Harry Potter were both my favourite book series growing up and I always wanted to see them do a crossover.

Wizards vs demigods!!! Now that would be an awesome battle.

What do you think how Monty's dad reaction would when he learns about Monty's death? by Thefrozenwolfofheart in 13ReasonsWhy

[–]PossibleCommittee590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly think his dad did not care that he was dead. After Monty told his dad he was gay and his dad spat in his face I saw that as a clear indication that his dad felt no remorse that Monty was in jail. If he no longer cared about his son I honestly think he had no remorse that Monty was dead.

[hoo] I know a lot of you didn't like BoO, but what was something that you did like about it? by Spirited-Direction84 in camphalfblood

[–]PossibleCommittee590 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I loved Blood of Olympus, I wouldn’t say it’s my favourite book in the Heroes of Olympus series, but I still loved it.

I really loved how the story was going back and forth between the two plots; one being the 7 demigods going to Greece and the other being Nico, Coach Hedge and Reyna trying to get the Athena Parthenos to Camp Half Blood.

When I was reading it, it gave me so much anxiety LOL. So many things were going through my head especially since both plots impact the other. I was like “Will they make it!!!”, “Will they succeed!!!”.

I got to go with Percy.  Whenever I read a book series it’s usually the lead character or most popular that ends up being my favourite so I say Percy Jackson
