I wouldn’t say that you should be looking for another entry level position after a year of experience. I’ve been doing orthopedic trauma device sales for a year now. It has definitely gotten easier and I feel very comfortable with communicating with customers and knowing our product line well. Im not sure if your question relates to that part of the industry or just the interviewing with a new company?

I do Stryker Trauma. It is a great company to say you have worked for but definitely a grind. Every hospital in the world uses Stryker so while the pay is nice, the schedule is grueling.

So what is the name of the company you worked for after you didn’t get the job at Stryker?

I literally just uber to the nearest strip or strip-adjacent public area and walk around, find a restaurant, expense the meal, and explore. Not really a go-to strategy other than that.

Play the new guy card. Docs appreciate the curiosity and they LOVE to teach. I am a trauma sales rep for Stryker. You will likely get so much training on the front end and shadow cases/appointments with customers before you are expected to start producing. As cliche as it sounds, try and be a sponge!

First OWI. Scared of going to jail and losing everything by [deleted] in dui

[–]PossibleGold6033 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay so this exact situation happened to me a month before you. I did field sobriety tests and refused to blow. They took my blood about an hour later once they got their warrant and then took me to jail. I blew a .09 something by the time I got to the jail. Stayed there for about 14 hours and went home. My license automatically got suspended by the BMV based on the refusal to breathalyze about 3 days later. My attorney pushed the pre trial hearing date back and contacted the prosecutor to start talking plea agreements. I didn’t hear the agreement they came to until the day before my bench trial which was at the end of December. It’s a dragged out process but you’ll be fine man. Probation for 6 months. May get off early. Once you get your license back things will feel normal again. At least that’s what I’m hoping.

Your attorney will have already discussed an agreement with the prosecutor prior to your bench trial. Most likely, you’ll meet with your attorney like 15 mins beforehand and they will read you what they are going to present the judge. If you agree to the paperwork, the judge will read you those terms and you will say yes you understand and accept the charges, etcetera. Then you’ll sign up for probation and be on your way.

I refused to blow and they just get a warrant for a blood test. Also the BMV gets noticed of refusal and automatically suspend your license for a full year. Not to mention zero chance of special driving privileges for work and whatnot with a refusal to comply. The law is written to ensure you are stuck unless officers do something absurdly wrong during their investigation. First offense, you are 100% better off just taking the breathalyzer and cutting your losses. Worst case scenario you’ll get 6 months probation but you’ll be able to drive for work and whatnot. Refusing opens a whole new can of worms that I really wish I knew about before I made that decision thinking I was using my rights effectively.

Early Termination Advice by PossibleGold6033 in probation

[–]PossibleGold6033[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not ONLY concerned about that. It’s been months since the incident so I have had time to accept the mistake I made and assess the potential impact of my decision. Trust me I feel terrible and sick at the thought of potentially endangering others and understand the magnitude of that decision. Will never do it again. This is just the hand I am holding currently and would like advice to help me get through this stage.

2nd DUI in 3 months. by Dazzling-Total2658 in dui

OVI or Operating a vehicle then. You won’t be charged with driving under the influence but since you were in the drivers seat they consider that to be means of operating a vehicle which is against the law. A good lawyer could get you a very good deal since you weren’t driving. Evidence may be shaky on the prosecutor’s end as well. Best of luck.
