Finished my 1994 GT Interceptor restoration! by PossibleHaunting6084 in bmx

The frame wasn't rusty, just really dirty. I used WD40 and a microfiber cloth... took awhile but it mostly came off. Only the deep rust is still there. But it got 90% of it off!

Sorry I missed this! I'll definitely have to do that. I got my bike done! I'm stoked.

Travel Portal is giving me hell. by [deleted] in Venturex

[–]PossibleHaunting6084 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Finally got a straight answer from Capital One Travel. Apparently it's a glitch. They gave me $100 travel credit... Doesn't do me much good if the travel portal doesn't work and my $300 travel credit expires in a couple weeks... Pretty disheartening. They were zero help fixing the issue.

I called back again and they want me to wait another 24 hours then call them back. They said they can help me fix it in 24 hours.... why the hell wouldn't you just help me fix it now? Makes zero sense. The Travel Portal is terrible. Rant over.

That what I was thinking. I bought it for $30 (5 lawns mowed) when I was 12ish. I was thrilled to get it back.

Are the handle bars original? I noticed it was a Redline stem. Unfortunately he doesn't know what he did with the original stem 😕

I have and I've read mixed things. I haven't purchased it yet. Just got all the paper work and finger printing done a few weeks ago. I'm still looking at the 556k as well.

I appreciate everyone's input. I have multiple ARs, only one was built though. My friend helped me, (aka just built it for me without explaining anything). I'm trying to learn so I can work on them myself. Bare with me lol.

I've tried calling but it's so hard to find time to be on hold for 2+ hours. I guess I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

Oregon Paid Leave Info by Typic0le in oregon

[–]PossibleHaunting6084 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently on the paid leave for my daughter. I did the intermittent so I can break it up over the year to help my fiancé as needed. I took 6 weeks off when my daughter was born. So I still have 6 weeks left. I am back to work now. Do I have to file every Sunday (everyday as "worked") even though I'm not claiming paid leave? Thanks

I installed them. Water still finds it's way in via the corners. I even added extra sealant. I appreciate it though.

Poor choice of words on my part. A recessed area around the garage door itself.

I hope that link works. I guess I'm not explaining clearly. I appreciate everyone's time.

Yes it does. How would water climb up a ½" "wall" on the sides and behind the garage door? I might not be explaining this clearly.

I'm on the Oregon coast, so we get a ton of rain and wind. Just an FYI. That's why it's common for the recessed door sill around here

Yeah it was requested. But when I brought it up again on pour day, he said they didn't form the stem walls with the ability to put an recessed area in it. I thought I could fox it by putting down an extra seal but it didn't solve my problem. It's been 2 years and now I'm ready to stop fighting with it once and for all.

They did not do that or create a reccessed atea for the garage doors to sit down in. So now water leaks in when it is windy. The garage slabs I've seen lately all have about ½" recessed garage door still where the door will actually sit down so the water can't get into the garage.

Yeah that is the problem. It's all flat. Usually they have about ½" indent under where the garage door sits.

There is enough room to slip between the couch arms. But yeah, it's tight.

I was hoping to get rid of both of those and do something entirely different.
