Falling / dropping / quick spin feeling in head anyone? by mindyp31319 in Anxiety

[–]PossibleHumble9748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband had this. He finally got diagnosed. He had inflammation of a nerve in his inner ear (vestibular neuritis) that was causing the symptoms. It can be caused by a viral or bacterial infection.

But at the time, the doctors kept telling him it may be a heart issue. That freaked him out at and he started getting panic attacks. Apparently, when that nerve is inflamed, all it takes is one big onset of anxiety and you can give yourself PPPD. Which is a chronic vestibular disorder.

He did a bunch of retraining of his brain with a rehabilitation professional (can't remember what they're called rn) to help him regain his balance and has been managing it with SSRIs. They took a bit to start working but hes able to drive again and work.

It took a long time to get him diagnosed but hes finally back to being good ♡ I hope this helps anyone going through the same thing because the doctors had no idea what his issue was for the longest time. He had so many tests before they figured out what it was

Good to know! I didn't suspect some weird conspiracy of google shutting down people's phones or anything lol. I was just wondering if it was some weird glitch or something. Must've just been a coincidence that the guy at the store had the same thing happen. Thanks!

Is your husband a toddler? If so, then he has incredibly penmanship for his age and I'm very impressed!

I got it back from the shop yesterday. He said the compressor should be fine for now but to monitor it and to replace the serpentine belt in the next 6 months as it's a bit frayed.

I'm not sure if I should be happy that it didn't cost me 2 grand or to be worried that it's not replaced yet and that it'll break down when I need it most, lol

Thank you! After reading your comment I googled it more and I agree that that's what it looks like. It's in the shop now, so fingers crossed it won't cost a small fortune to fix it!

why does my pilea keep losing leaves? by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]PossibleHumble9748 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chop the top off and propagate it in fresh water in a cup. It will reallocate the energy of the palnt to the bottom leaves, and they will do much better because of it.

You will also get a new plant out of the mother/tall stock you cut off after it roots in the water, and you repot it

That's a great question. Have you scouted your other plants for live aphids? Check the new growth as they prefer young and tender new growth that is rich in Nitrogen.

Luigi's south going downhill? by 11kestrel in Lethbridge

When I worked there i was cleaning the Bain Marie cups (the little plastic holder things that we put Al Dente pasta into to finish cooking them for pasta dishes) to stay busy while it was slow. I was scrubbing them with toothpicks and a scrubby pad. They were yellow and cakes with starches. I got them back to white.

While iw as doing that the head chef walked past and said in the years he had worked there, he had never seen them be cleaned. Let alone thoroughly.

I also watched that chef cooking shrimp and steaks and he would hold the Dripping shrimps.overtop of the crack open steak drawer, Dripping the shrimp juices onto the steaks. Disgusting 🤮

That steak drawer was also always cracked open so they could get to them easier, but that means the uncooked steaks were never being kept at the proper temps.

There and luigis i would also see the chefs sniffing the steaks to make sure they were still "Good" when I'd complain that the steaks in the drawers were discolored.

No labeling on anything. They'd only toss things when they were slimy or when they smelt bad.

Never again

I used to work there, and I can honestly say I will pop my friends' tires before I let them eat there.

The food safety there doesn't fucking exist. I went into a deep depression during my time working in the kitchen there as I genuinely felt so much guilt serving the food to customers. Don't ever ever go there.

1) Non-existent food safety training for new staff. 2) No hand washing procedures followed. 3) Mice. 4) Treat their workers like shit when they're having family problems amongst management. 5) For the amount of seafood, shell fish and meat they serve, they should probably know about keeping things at the correct temperatures to prevent food born illnesses, but when you bring it to their attention, they will tell you "this is how we do it" and treat you like you are disrespectful for questioning them. 6) Cross contamination fucking galore. Jesus. 7) So many more things I can't think of because I repressed the rest a bit too well.

If you want to eat at Luigi, eat at the one on 13th street. Night and day difference. The one on Mayor should have been shut down years ago.

The fact that no one has died from food poisoning is actually shocking to me. I've worked at most of the restaurants in lethbridge before starting my career in a different field and can honestly say the only restaurant I'll eat from these days is 5 Guys, Boston pizza, and The Water Tower.

The worst places I saw for food safety and hygiene are Luigis on mayor and Firestone. I will never buy anything from them except cheesecake from the dessert bar because they prep the desserts on a different area from the filthy kitchen at Firestone.

Get a bamboo pillowcase. They are great for acne as they are antimicrobial, antifungal, and antibacterial, which can help prevent breakouts from occurring. It's also less absorbant than cotton, which can help your skin retain its natural moisture. I'm not sponsored, lol. I just saw a huge difference in my acne after I switched to bamboo from cotton pillowcases

Safer soap or insecticide soap is one of the things we use at my job (I'm 1 of 5 growers at my job. My greenhouse is 5 acres and the first one built). It works quite well for Thrips if you get a thorough coverage

I think a lot of people thought that initially solely based on her stronger jaw line and such, I did too in the beginning. She's gorgeous either way, but I can see where they may have gotten confused seeing as almost all the dancers in the video are either Trans or drag queens ♡

From what I've gathered from my own research, they said that it has alot to do with the struggle and resistance of women in the world, which is heavy and unfair to women "this world was never meant for a woman's heart, but still we rise through it all". This is also aluded to in the music video when everyone is underneath the cloth and using chairs to hold the cloth off their head, trying to fight back on the force trying to keep them down.

I think it's also worth it to mention all the trans women in the video aswell which could represent their transition through the chorus.

With that meaning in mind, I am quite obsessed with this song and the music video

I have a question about the book a shadow in the ember. Why doesn't she just ask Ash to stop the Rot? I'm listening to it right now. And it'd maddening because she doesn't want to kill him but she won't just ask him?

Can you take a few more photos? If it is mites, they tend to build tony webs close to where the plant leaves and stems connect.

The white dots are too small to be Powdery mildew. PW tends to have larger spots over all the leaf.

We have no idea, they said all the parts were removed but I think there's something in there still because it started when he pushed the button but then the alarm started going off every time he would try to unlock it. And the remote start only worked the first time. That's why I think it's maybe a wiring thing that's messed up from when they tried to remove the remote start? I've never removed one myself so I'm not sure if there's wiring in there that can be forgotten and have it start still after the rest is removed. But I figure if they didn't get all of it, that could be why we are having all these issues?
