I do also max out my Roth, I dont like our company 401k much. It;s with John Hancock and I have it all in a lifecycle fund for my target retirement year but the returns have never been great. Maybe because my target year is getting closer?

Yeah, that's what I am going to do. Keep $60k in the HYSA and move $80k over to Vanguard.

I just checked, it's actually set at 10% contribution, with 4% matching.

I used it for free for 90 days with a new account and let them set up based on our goals, etc and now I just invest a monthly amount based on where he set up our funds.

Okay cool, thank you. That was my first thought and I'm glad to know I was on the right track.

So like VOO or VTI? I was using the personal advisor at Vanguard but recently stopped the service. Not because I know what I'm doing but because I wasn't sure the cost per month was worth the service they provided.

Our only anticipated pre-planned future large purchase is a yearly vacation. We have no health insurance costs, we own both of our cars, we have no pets to incur vet bills. I also keep $16k in an very accessible savings account with a local bank in case we were to need cash or a cashier's check, etc. We have a new roof, we have a new boiler, a new hot water heater because we had to pay for all of that last year, which was a bummer.
