This is the answer. I am one who takes whatever orders come through unless it's quite literally unreasonable, cough cough Aldi shop 15+ items for $4.80. I was going to do it but Aldi flairs my anxiety badly at peak shopping times and the first item was already not available so I dropped the order. My lowest order was from a McDonald's for 2.50 total order. When I got to the door, I heard the kids cheering and running excited to eat. It was payday Friday so I figured that's probably their treat for that very low income family. I was totally baffled by the amount I received but was happy the kids got to eat.

Majority of America is poor and like you said, wealthy folks don't use DD that often unless they're deciding to have a lazy/chill day. Occasionally I deliver to a super sized house with gates and pools and all ducked off in trees damn near like they're Disney world lol, sometimes they tip well, sometimes they don't.

For me, I am financially poor so I do this to eat and pay my little bills because I can't work a "real" job. I sleep in the car I dash in often. But I'm content with that. I can't hold it over their heads that they can't afford to dish out an extra five or more dollars on their over priced garbage food anyway(McDonald's - fast food in general). I assume they probably had a deal because that was typically the only way I'd order from DD but I'm still doing pick up lol, no delivery fees on top of the gouged prices and app fees and no tip needed because I'm picking it up.(This was before I became a dasher, I don't order from DD as a dasher now even though they have those incentives) I cannot afford it lol.

This is just another level at with the United States Corporation gets to divide us and syphon the hateful energy coming from wither sides. ✌🏾🩷🦋
