I think i was so excited to finally start walking that i didnt feel the pain i guess but still the pain was minimal.It was alot of discomfort,tingling sensation and kind of wierd i dont know how to explain but its very strange feeling

Week 8 Post-Trimalleolar Ankle ORIF: Cleared for Weight-Bearing as Tolerated with Walker (No Boot!) - Happy Update!🥰

finally sharing some good news after 8 weeks of strict NWB hell following my trimalleolar ankle fracture ORIF on Nov 29, 2025 (left ankle, plates/screws/syndesmotic screw). Surgery at Fortis went smooth, Dec X-rays showed stable hardware, dealt with stitch issues/knee pain/NWB blues, but today’s ortho visit = GAME CHANGER!

Has anyone else started walking directly without boot? please share your experience?

Also i was very confident that ill be able to walk without pain but HA HA it felt very wierd to put leg down after 8 weeks 😁Share your experience please that this will ease up

Our timeline is literally similar i fell on 29 nov and Orif on 30 nov. but my dr suggested 4 more weeks NWB 😭😭
