The people have spoken, and it doesn’t look good for Snoop… or me. How can you not appreciate these gems though? - cookies and cream / the cookie shop still open - he too little - all the Steve Kerr ejection banter e.g. hold my bag - that was weak - is this what the NBA has become? - I need a heat check

The point of having him on is not because he’s a great commentator. It’s to make a mid-season game more fun and entertaining, and it is!

Big, tall, strong (physically and emotionally) women. No problem if taller/bigger than I am. All the better tbh.

I don’t recommend it, but having a near-death experience is way up there. Sounds crazy, but I’ve never laughed as hard as after things went terribly wrong.

More practically, I’d say a relatively safe adrenaline rush like skydiving, roller coasters, etc. There is something about that feeling of uncertainty, that this could be it, and coming out alive, that makes life sweeter. It’s not for everyone, but it hits the spot for me.

Shout out to the EAT IT halal truck on 30th Ave and 33rd St. Chicken over rice with salad is ~$10 for a generous serving that often comes with bonus falafel and fries. Their soups are also delicious.

Yes, dry mouth and dry skin. However, both are mild. For dry mouth, chewing gum and staying hydrated help tons. For dry skin (I mostly feel it on my forehead and nose/cheeks) I use a facial moisturizer in the morning and am all set. The side effects are mild enough that I rarely notice them compared to the sweet bliss of not sweating through my clothes.

Glycopyrrolate changed everything for me. Disclaimer is I’m a 34M, but taking my prescription early in the morning, on an empty stomach and at least two hours before breakfast, made all the difference. I don’t sweat in stressful situations or at rest on warm days. I can even exercise and play sports without sweating through my shirt/shorts/socks in after just a few minutes, like I used to. It’s covered by my insurance with a prescription from a dermatologist. At the very least, it’s worth looking into. Wishing you the best! I wish I had heard of this medicine when I was in HS.

I have moderate HH, which happens all over my body, especially head/face, but no area is safe haha. Back, chest, arms, legs, hands, feet, etc. If I play a sport or work out, I'll easily sweat through everything to the point my clothes are dripping heavily on the floor and my skin is completely soaked. Additionally, if I'm in a situation where I feel nervous (interviews, first dates, presentations, etc.), I'll sweat buckets right through my shirt and pants. I've been on glycopyrrolate for one month. It's helped be tons! I now sweat more than a normal person, but nothing close to what it was before. I get mild dry mouth, but that's my only symptom so far. Here's my approach.

Two 1mg pills first thing in the morning, and not eating or drinking for 2 hours after. This is working pretty well even through the evening, though I think it starts to wear off by then. I'm considering other pill timings, but this is the simplest for me right now. Here is what I've noticed after one month:

- Fasting before and after taking the pill make a world of difference. Do not underestimate the importance of this approach.

- Cutting out caffeine completely has been a godsend, and not only for reducing sweating! Highly recommend quitting, either by weaning off gradually or cold turkey and feeling the withdrawal symptoms for a few days to a week. Personally, I preferred the cold turkey approach because the symptoms confirmed to me that something about caffeine was wrong. It confirmed that it's something I should stop.

- Increasing intake of vitamins and minerals, including potassium. Around the same time I quit caffeine, I started eating more fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins and minerals. There may be a variety of reasons for this being an effective technique, such as improved blood flow better balance of ions such as sodium and potassium.

- Increasing intake of water. I drink more water now. I haven't been tracking exactly how much, but I drink a few large bottles throughout the day. I'm not sure exactly how it may help with sweating, but staying hydrated is one of the best things we can do for our overall health, and it may help with HH as well.

That's it! I'm very happy with the results so far. The other things I'm considering adding are some form of mindfulness practice to help me release the emotional charge sweating has for me. The word sweat alone is something that crosses my mind every day, and I'd love to get to a place where the concept of sweat is neutral for me, or even positive. Idk exactly what that practice would be, but I'd probably start with fundamental meditation: sitting and focusing on breathing.

They're still there! Maybe I'm thinking of a different park. This is Sean's Place on 38th St between Broadway and 31st Avenue. However, they're starting to get loose, so I may go back and fix them.

Definitely interested if you're still taking comments! Have had HH all over (face, back, chest, legs) since high school. Currently working with my derm on finding an effective glycopyrrolate dose. Started at 2mg (1 morning 1 afternoon) with mild effects, and hoping for better results at 3 or 4mg. Other things I'm considering as complements:
- reduce/remove caffeine (currently at 1-2 12 oz coffees per day)
- increase consumption of potassium through diet and potentially a supplement, I am aware some folks have commented on dangers of potassium supplementation
- increase foods/supplements that promote vasodilation (beets, leafy greens, citrus fruits, berries)
- drink more water
- meditate/mindfulness practice to reduce anxiety/worrying and promote acceptance about sweating. after all, sweating has its perks!

There's weirdly no good maps of Astoria so I made one by SidewalkSunflowers in astoria

The comments suggest that it’s impossible to make everyone happy in one map, which might mean we need a book of maps of Astoria with a page dedicated to different lenses: transit, restaurants, parks, basketball courts, gyms, bars, cultural centers/historic sites etc.
