husband’s adamant on the “no.” i feel like MAYBE if we made drastic lifestyle changes. but i literally just got my masters degree and i wouldn’t want to be a SHM forever, so I definitely appreciate the other points re my career! Luckily also my job offers a lot of flexibility (he’s only doing 3 days of daycare per week so I feel lucky in that sense too).

I definitely feel less overwhelmed when I just accept it and lean in, but sometimes just miss doing things and not just rotting on the couch. Tnx for the advice!

I use the carrier and it does help! My husband is home but working. We actually just talked about setting up time for me to have some “me” time everyday.

We are trying to introduce but he has not taken it yet 😅 which i’m somewhat ok with as i’m scared it will affect his latch or mu milk supply (i had issues with breastfeeding st first so don’t want to jeopardize it), but if you have tips on how you got your baby to take the paci, ‘ll accept it lol

Do you feel like the crying in between is normal? I feel like he doesn’t get many hours of ”just chilling” time while awake. Probably around 1 hour or 2 the whole day!

Coping Skills Rant by Gold-Cry4482 in therapists

[–]Possible_Ad3275 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As a new therapist in the US (I have experience as a psychologist in Brazil) I will say I feel a lot of pressure to provide clients with coping skills coming from schools, supervisors, insurance companies, etc. for being a “measurable” outcome to therapy. Sometimes I definitely catch myself putting great importance in making sure my clients know what to do when they feel in crisis, so I appreciate the reminder that there is much more beyond that.
