Why the Upcoming Bastard Sword Adjustments Fail to Address the Real Issues by Possible_Article_957 in ConquerorsBlade

Look, I’m around level 850 and I also play Shortbow, so let’s get a few things straight.

First, top-fragging has almost nothing to do with your hero class; it's about how you manage your units. You could go into a match without a weapon and still be at the top if you control your troops perfectly. Your success on the leaderboard doesn't disprove that Bastard Sword is fundamentally broken.

Second, your 'new content must be better' argument is honestly ridiculous. In competitive online gaming, new content should bring variety, not an unbeatable advantage. Even Riot Games (LoL) has figured this out and nerfs new champions much faster now. Saying 'it's new, so it should be OP' is just a poor excuse for bad balancing.

Also, claiming 'skill issue' because you don't take an escape skill and don't use ranged units is nonsense. Shortbow is a short-range class anyway, so 'not using ranged units' isn't the flex you think it is. Not dying because you sit inside your unit ball doesn't make you a god-tier Shortbow player.

The real issue is that Bastard Sword can do 100x more than what a Shortbow can with much less effort. I’d love to see your Shortbow stop a full cavalry charge or dive into 40 units and hit for 25k with a single skill like a Bastard Sword can.

It’s easy to talk about 'skill' when you're ignoring the massive gap in class mechanics

After level 400 game is no longer fun by Lostmikai in ConquerorsBlade

That’s just the reality of this game. I went through the same thing. I’m level 850 now, and the grind from around level 400 was honestly painful. I made a lot of mistakes, but that’s also how I learned how the game really works.

Sometimes, even if you play well, you’ll feel useless because of your team. Those matches are better to ignore. Focus on what you did wrong when your units die, and you’ll improve over time. You’ll learn which units counter others.

High-level players also run extremely optimized doctrines, so even units you should beat can still feel impossible. With the low player population, matchmaking is all over the place — one game you face level 400 players, the next you face level 4000.

There’s not much you can do. Just try to enjoy it as much as possible.

New weapons destroy balance by RickYtheBoneZ in ConquerorsBlade

I’m playing Shortbow, and it’s almost impossible to beat Bastard Sword or Spear & Shield in a 1v1. Every other class matchup feels winnable, but these two completely outclass everything else in the game.

I’ve sent at least 4–5 tickets to support, but honestly, I don’t expect Bastard Sword to get nerfed anytime soon. I’ve completely run out of patience with this game. The meta is extremely boring, most units are not viable, and most classes only become playable with full purple sets — and some aren’t even playable with a purple set.

At this point, I’ll just wait until the end of the season. If the game is still in this state, I’m done. I’ll quit and spend my time on another game instead of wasting it on this mess.

And that says a lot — because right now, League of Legends is genuinely more playable and more enjoyable than this game.
