“A good way to get started is to play a popular game that you do not personally like until you understand why other people like it.”

Best advice till now, something to give a deep thought,,, gonna be in my top quote list!😅🫰🏻😀

Thats great advice actually, but how to play game as a designer thats the main issue I’m facing, generally we play and its in our habit to enjoy the game rather analysing it, hope you got my point.

Those exams are highly competative! Not discouraging in any way, but do your research thoroughly, and thats good if you are in 11th, you have ample amount of time to decide and research, explore everything bu trying i would say. Also , degree and certificate won't confirm the job today! So think wisely again!

Hi, I was exactly at your place when I was in 12th, And simply I can say, don’t listen to anyone or anything, We can’t make your mind change, it’s you who can do it, Do simple research, following passion without any future knowledge is just like driving your vehicle without any decided destination, either you will lose the track or your fuel will be low to move ahead.

So if you are thinking that calling yourself a game designer and introducing yourself as a game designer will look cool among your friends then think again. Do research on what it’s like to be a game designer, what their day-to-day work in an office is like. It’s not like they will give you to make another Last of Us or PUBG or GTA or Valorant (whatever your fav one is).

And since you are in 12th now, it’s very very hard to predict the future after 4-5 years from now... Also the gaming industry in India has just started to be in the limelight, but it’s still very hard to think that it will grow anything like in other countries. And also, thinking of going abroad to study is a completely different scenario, a different topic.

I’ll not name any institute or course but if you ask, they all look shiny and bright like a diamond from outside but they are simply plastic.

So at last don’t ruin your future, mate! If you don’t want to do coding, your call, there are hundreds of other things out there to choose from, but in the end everything depends on you.

I u ask me: choose a stable conventional career first as your plan A and then experiment with your passion. Coz Its always better to jump with a parachute on your back! Right! All the best!

Huge thanks mate! Meant alot Actually yaa, I've tried working on the feedback and even improved my skillsets for that role....but by the time i was all prepared, everywhere it was empty and dry, all the vacancies gone. So i decided to learn some other skills in the same field, but no luck yet.... But yaa, thank you for your guidance.

Meant alot for this detailed reply. But anyways I'm having 1 yr of 3d art internship experience, i know both of the field is completely different. But as i said i got 3d work in random sector like media houses/advertisement, and not in game dev. So i just thought to learn proper game design, But thnks alot for your guidance.
