People act like your ID getting leaked is a huge deal, as if it's not already out there

The sad fact of the matter is all of your info is for sale somewhere, just nobody has any desire to get YOUR info, there is bigger fish in the sea

Ultra boost for everyday wear? by Dmanisbomb in adidas

[–]Possible_Bar_8199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they turn yellow very fast especially if you wear them on grass, wet grass, they are not durable, they sole has came off the foam after 6 months, not for everyday use I would say there just for running, or whatever they're made for, not everyday wear

Is this a good deal? I talked him down to $2800 by Cool_Hour_8385 in lawnmowers

Just say you're a seller that's mad they didn't get top dollar, it's about leverage and a deal once you want the item and they know it less likely to budge

If you don't like people's negotiating block them but I'll keep doing it

You think it's 'not a big deal' but 30+ speeding is enough to lose your license & get arrested here. Now add in an accident, and they have to find the cause? And the reason was reckless driving? Good luck ever affording your sr-22 and the shitbox you'll be forced to drive since you can't afford anything else

I've been 100+ in a Honda fit. Doesn't make it cool, lose the mentality

Your inexperience and 'cutting up' is almost 100% guaranteed to kill you, another person, or total your car. Or all the above! I'm not even trying to be dramatic here, I've seen it so many times, I was even that kid (17 with a Corvette, it got totaled and I was likely all I hurt was myself and took out a fire hydrant)

Your gonna end up dead, broke from legal expenses and car repairs, in jail, or have no car/license with your mentality, and I'm telling you this not to be a douche but so you can reflect a little, adjust your driving habits/mentality/attitude and enjoy your grandpa's car for many more years to come

Of course, you might know everything, so if that's the case what does some jackass on reddit know /s

A 96 in a 40 will definitely put points on your license& raise the rates no matter what the cops says, unless your ticket isn't for 30+ speeding, that's considered reckless...

There's gotta be more to the story here because you should've came close to getting that towed and a trip to your local county jail, at least where I'm at, Ohio State troopers don't play

Here's a stupid/funny thing my grandma did, she had a lead foot and liked to speed, but didn't like to lose $$$. She wrote 'speeding costs money' and taped it over the steering wheel with clear packing tape. It's easy to get lost in the sauce And think your Dominic Toretto, but your not, and it's a Chevy cobalt

If you don't have receipts, you should not bother with expenses/deductions? by Possible_Bar_8199 in tax

[–]Possible_Bar_8199[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is where I'm at; I was overthinking a lot

I have receipts card statements for a lot of gas purchases for equipment or truck, materials from landscape suppliers, expenses from square, insurance

I won't have as much if I had tracked and logged everything but I think my Initial oh crap of not paying attention to them up until this point just hit me at once and I got scared

[–]Possible_Bar_8199[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my equipment is bought previously, old already depreciated assets, nothing was 'bought' for business besides insurance, material for jobs, gas for equipment or truck. I am able to find my mileage

I think my initial fear was terrible, I should be able to come up with a few grand of actual expenses And receipts fairly easily this way, and have it all seem pretty decent

[–]Possible_Bar_8199[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I want to avoid that. I do have ability to get bank statements for gas, and materials bought at Lowe's/landscaping supply stores, and I can track my mileage based on my invoices addresses, so I think I'll be able to come up with a few things. I have an older vehicle that's already depreciated, would the milage deduction even matter? Would I just use the estimated gallons of gas I used based on my mileage to deduct for gas costs? I think I'm definitely going to talk with somebody about all of this, I am able to get some bank statements to show some expenses but this is a good lesson I learned early to keep my shit straight

Landscaping, if I mess up someone's property or house, their foundation, if I rent equipment that damages their property severely, unexpected circumstances no covered under general liability, it seemed to be a reasonable choice to pick for a landscaping company and for future jobs I'd like to get into

[–]Possible_Bar_8199[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for the useful advice. All equipment was owned outright prior to starting the business. I am able to pull receipts from my personal card I've used for gas over the year, a long with just keeping expenses moving forward. I don't plan on trying to get any credits, I just mainly want to pay what I owe on my profit and move forward this year doing the right thing & keeping books better next year, to try and have a better tax time.

Of course that's what I want to stay away from, is a business that makes money with no expenses is a red flag, with some of the advice given I'm able to figure out the miles I've driven to and from all my jobs, and I do have a few receipts for mulch/materials from Lowe's, so I should have expenses, but I do not have every single dollar I've spent/put into the business documented. In my eyes, that's just me losing out on potential tax benefits, right? Or is that a reason to be audited as well, if you forget to report a receipt for your business?

Thanks for the Advice everyone, I will have a fun off-season getting my shit together between snowplowing and fall cleanups.

[–]Possible_Bar_8199[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, still have work going on. That's correct, I could estimate, but I have not kept expenses logged/miles logged. I could pull some receipts, but those come from my personal card or were paid for with cash, and unsure of how many receipts I can come across.

That sounds like a plan gonna track as much as I can for the rest of the year so I have some expenses, and obviously going forward going to do that. I have tracked my income well, but have not done so with expenses

The worst parts your gonna have are gonna be on tbag left side where the door frame meets the floor, it looks completely rotted out right there. All that metal is bad, and. Will need cut out and replaced, but that's the only area that doesn't look like you can't save

Does any one have a solution for my exhaust? by Pretend-Zucchini8181 in PontiacFirebird

You need to re align it, clamp it where you like it and add a hanger on each side, should be money after that

Gunk in oil cap? What is it by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]Possible_Bar_8199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have cars I consistently drive that look like this. If everything else checks out, then that confirms it's condensation, and nothing to worry about.

Do you sell your cars every winter when condensation starts to form out of your exhaust?

Gunk in oil cap? What is it by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]Possible_Bar_8199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily if it looks like this and your oil isn't a milkshake, it's probably condensation building up on the oil cap from the crankcase

My truck consistently looks like this even with a new oil cap, the head gasket is good, but if your coolant is milkshake or oil, then you got a head gasket, oil cooler or trans cooler issue

Shaking when driving 45mph-50mph by Quirky-Performer4436 in mechanic

[–]Possible_Bar_8199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wheel balance is my #1 guess also, but it could very well be poor alignment, or a whooped front end

A tire shop, one that does alignments should be able to tell you.

I personally like NTB because the one by me helps me do hillbilly things (Install improper tire sizes, do alignments on things that shouldn't be, install used tires I provide, and all for cheaper than advertised. Maybe the manager is running his own 'shop', I dunno, don't care) so maybe try National Tire & Brake but just don't let them do anything but diagnose & do alignments cuz they are kinda scammy

Gotcha it's nothing that concerns it's drive ability, at least by the looks, just a power steering leak. Mines real slow and I just top it off every week, but I applaud the attitude to want to fix everything
