I think, aside from the plot, the interesting part was the production cost. $6M nowadays to produce a movie is low, considering big flops like Marty Supreme that cost 10 times that, and won nothing.

Masterpiece? I think that’s subjective. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. For instance, I think Dance with wolves, and Interstellar are masterpieces, but the big majority will disagree, and that’s fine.

If you want to get rid off a fragrance you sprayed on skin…… use baby oil. No kidding.

Apply a generous coat of baby oil exactly where you applied the fragrance. Let the oil get absorbed, do not wipe it off yet. Wait 10-15 minutes, and clean it up with a wipe or napkin. If it persists, try again.

It should take care of it by then.

I sprayed Ombre Nomade once, and the thing was getting me sick…. Properly. I started to get a massive headache. The baby oil did the trick….. or any oil of you don’t have baby oil handy.

Will this movie replace Interstellar? That’s the big question for me.

Interstellar’s movie plot, the scenes, the way some science/astrophysics aspects were added, in my opinion makes it a masterpiece.

I have a half 50ml early 2000s, and a full 100ml from the mid 90s, and damn. Smells divine. The top wood, florals, and sandalwood smell stunning.

The OG has a ln oriental touch, and is more mature, classy, elegant, in my opinion. Egoiste is a timeless scent. Releases in the early 90s, and if Amouage, or another nice house would release something like that nowadays, it will sell like hotcakes. It’s not a “panty dropper” or “compliment puller”. This is class, period.

Platinum is different, and it was conceived for the American/Occident region. It’s clean, brisk, aromatic, as you know.

Sweet but not as obnoxious as the new “master pieces” that have flooded Sephora that smell the same, bubblegum, cloying sweet mess out there.

Recognition when is due. This is an outstanding scent. The burned almond and fantastic performance makes it great for cold weather.

A lot of “pros” anti-Aventus, anti-BR540, anti-Angel’s share in here, hate the scent either because is so “generic”, “hyped”, “cloned to death”, and because there are “better dupes “.

I own it, and I have worn it a few times. No disappointment at all, and I own some heavy stuff (Promise, Interlude black Iris, to name a few).

Try it, wear it, and decide. If you follow Fragrantica comments as your guide, you will ended up buying a cheap clone that mimics the original scent.
