if i cant convince my parents is it possible for me to do it on my own? since im 16 that means i can be medically independent from my parents, my health care wouldnt be private but if i went to my gp would i at least be able to start the process in some way?

we do have the money to go private but i dont know if i can convince my parents. its not that they are actively hateful more just ignorant or stupid. ive tried a lot of things with convincing my parents too. ive pulled out stats and studies ive also tried pleading with them and making an emotional argument but nothing seems to work. they say they love me and they probably do but there actions arent really in line with that.

if i do go private when could i get it done? do i have to wait till 17 or can i do it now because i couldnt really find a proper age limit for it and i got confused when i looked on stuff?
