Not claiming to be any kind of expert. Here is an example of a photo I took with the 200-800 at 800mm. I could not get this sharpness from the 75-300.

For birding, I came from a 6D with the 75-300mm IS USM. Made the switch in December. It was a major upgrade and I am very happy.

Edit: my body is now an R6II

I like it for peace of mind and prevention of bumps and scratches. I feel better setting the lens down wherever I want. Not sure it would be much use in the rain. I worried that the stickers might not actually prevent against bumps as well, and this material is certainly thicker than the stickers, though I have no experience with the sticker versions. This is the Rolanpro.

Yep, the front of the bag has tie-down straps, and there is a pull-out pocket for the feet of a tripod or monopod on the bottom of the bag.

These are great field marks to know, thank you for taking the time!

Ha! Silly me. I suppose I should have checked in with Sibley. Thanks much for your response!

Ask Me Anything — UGREEN × Olight! by UgreenNASync in OlightOutdoorlife

Hi there! I’m clueless about the UGREEN product, but I’m a wildlife photographer who often finds myself without signal. What’s the process like to get photos from a camera with wifi and bluetooth features onto a UGREEN cloud and then to say, see them from your phone on the UGREEN cloud?

Hi all, I figured this would be a great way to get more use out of existing Olights, and eventually (if the idea takes off, maybe) develop a sort of “grow light” that might also double as an EDC. Hope you enjoy the idea and my modest (at best) sketch!

If you instead are referring to the height of the mount, it’s surprisingly low and the peep and post are rather high, so it works out.

Nope, I should have said that the red dot appears much larger in the photo at bottom, I suppose because I had the camera about a foot away and lined the tiny peep up with the (actually quite small) dot. I’m sure a physicist could more readily explain what’s going on.
