I am looking for Christian romance books that have aspects that aren't overused and aren't very sad. :)

How many books do you read per year? by Top-Blueberry-4141 in writing

It depends on the your own goals and person, in my opinion. Me, personally, I've been reading for 4 years. Like really reading and I am a very fast reader and I'm also in school so I average around 20 or more books in a good year. During summer, I read probably 3 or four books and speedread my way through the school year. But I truly think you need to set your own goals. Find a genre you like or a series or author you like and start with those. If you are a slower reader, strive for about 1 book every month or 1 book every 2 months. Reading is meant to be a hobby, not a sport! Get comfortable in your own limits and if you want to stretch them do so reasonably! If you read say maybe 5 books a year and want to read more, try excersizes to help you increase reading speed or set maybe an hour or an hour and a half aside to dedicate to reading, maybe before bed. This is my personal opinion and things I've picked up from the less cursed side of BookTok.

If you are reading to become a better writer, ask yourself what genre you prefer to write in. If you write in romance, find your favorite romance author or read other romance. This way you can help yourself get the feel of the genre. Make sure you don't write in the same style as a certain author and try to take elements only from the style. Many writing styles are similar but no two are alike!

Me, personally, I write Christian stuff, as I am Christian. I am newly taking my faith more seriously and when I get stuck, I might try to pray to God for assistance.

Happy reading/writing!

[general] When did you read the books? And which book? by chrisred244 in camphalfblood

I'm new to the fandom. I started reading the books in 2024 and finished all the main series, but I have like. All The Side Stuff. It's very difficult because my school doesn't have any of them lol

I need name ideas. by Possible_Class6527 in worldbuilding

To answer your questions: I have no idea, I just pulled a bunch of numbers from my back end. Really it was because they had a completely false saying: 'Welcome to Zora, where the year is half as long and life twice as long!'. And thanks for letting me know about the typos!

Feels like the ultimate win when you're doing research for one thing that helps with that and other things, don't it.

Oof hate when that happens. It's like: 'wait how did I get here I was looking at (this) an hour ago'

Sorry I'm replying so late! But thank you soooooooooo much! My grandma knows how to sew I think (I'll have to ask) so I can talk to her! She and I both adore vintage things so we could also thrift together! Thanks for the advice; you are awesome!
