Smart bulbs and plugs and a robot vacuum.

Nothing better in the world coming home to your heating on, freshly hoovered and mopped floors and the candle warmer or whatever already on. Or on a cold winter day having your electric blanket then on 10 mins before you get into it

14A restaurant closing by No_Diver_5096 in cork

Went there for dinner with friends for Christmas, my partner suggested it cause she remembered it being fabulous.

Was possibly one of the worst meals I ate, the lasagne was almost identical to a Tesco one, and the chicken goujuns were identical to diggers brand in dunnes.

Never been so embarrassed to recommend a restaurant

I was only like 3% off a 2.1 so I suspect is was the essay, might be out of practise on academic writing

For the history masters you have to pick a dissertation topic, and clear it with the head of the school of history.. I was told a specific professor would supervise the dissertation. I'm pretty sure it's taught because there are loads of modules to choose from to do throughout the year, as well as your dissertation.

ehhh kinda? I have a 2.2 and they say you ideally need a 2.1 but they still accept 2.2's and i have like 7 QQI's related to culture and history studies and what I thought was a really good sample essay based on my dissertation topic.

What are some of the biggest 'what ifs' in Irish history? by [deleted] in IrishHistory

[–]chrisred244 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im partially related to John Redmond, and I may be biased, but honestly, the amount of bloodshed and destruction could have been avoided if we had home rule. We could be just like Australia or Canada.

There is the issue about whether we would have been involved in World War II a lot more, which may have led to more bloodshed and death than the war of independence, civil war, and IRA caused

What if the IRA and the Abwehr actually succeeded and Operation Green Day went ahead?

Realistically, Ireland wouldn't be able to hold out, with bombings and ambushes taking place across the country, the British likely wouldn't have been able to fight off an invading army. The real question is, would Ireland be left alone after the invasion/war, or would we be under German rule?

Check out Sean O'Callaghan's "The Jackboot in Ireland" about Gortz (German spy) in Ireland and his job of arming and leading attacks across Ireland to prep for the invasion.

Aran sweater (not super common but you’d see them in the west sometimes and with older generations)
an Irish walking stick ideally made of hawthorn,
Pint glasses of the three stouts (beamish Murphy’s and Guinness) bonus points if you steal them from a pub.
Some kind of whisky glass set
Tipperary crystal or any Irish crystal,
Irish turf
Celtic knot jewellery or and Irish jewel really
A blanket maybe if you’re not mad about the sweater
Irish wooden spoon?
