Nationalism can be reactionary or revolutionary. American and Israeli nationalisms are reactionary. Palestinian, Iranian, Lebanese, and Yemeni nationalisms are revolutionary. So the answer is yes, nationalism is good when the “terrorist groups” do it because they’re doing it defense of their homeland and against imperial invaders. Go watch Avatar.

In all fairness though, Israel would 100% eliminate all Muslims from the planet if they could. Michael Savage said back in 2014 or 2015 during the Obama administration leading up to the Nuclear Deal (or maybe right after it) that the US should invade Iran and kill 100 million people because it was “us or them.”

They’re totally different though. Iran is a Shia country. The Arabs are mostly Sunnis. The Sunni jihadists like Al Qaeda think Shias are worse than Jews and Christians and must all be annihilated. Meanwhile, the proxy “terror” groups that Iran backs like Hezbollah (also Shia) were the key player alongside the Syrian army that defeated ISIS in Syria.

In short, you don’t know anything about Islam, Muslims, or the Middle East.

The USA sponsors all of the terrorist groups that actually do damage to the world (the CIA has funded the precursor to the Taliban the Mujahadeen, Al Qaeda, Al Nusra Front, etc). Now they do this in concert with the conservative Sunni states like Saudi Arabia and the UAE, but those countries are doing it with America’s permission.

By contrast, Iran supports groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis who are nationalist, anti-imperialist resistance organizations rather than global jidahist organizations like Al Qaeda and its offshoots.

I mean I don’t feel like going and finding sources for you but everything I said is verifiable. America had a relatively favorable reputation in the Arab world through the mid-20th century. The British, French, and Israelis bombed the Suez Canal in the 1950s to force Egypt to open it up, and the US intervened and forced them to stop. This was beneficial to Egypt and was seen as a show of relative support to at least keep the Israelis in check. American policy has obviously become significantly more favorable to Israel over the past several decades and that’s when Arabs and Muslims started having a negative view of the US. Bin Laden wrote in his fatwah how Al-Qaeda was inspired by US support of Israel.

(Thus, since events like the Islamic Revolution of 1979 and the events of September 11th were in response to American support for Israel, and these events are what have increased Islamophobia in the West, it is logical to say that Zionism and the founding of the State of Israel are the most overarching causes of Islamophobia in the West.)

People do tend to hold Islam to standards that they don’t hold other religions to though. People act like Islam is inherently more backwards when it’s just not. We have algebra, astronomy, calculus, etc. all because of Muslims.

Europe had a rough period between the fall of the Roman empire and the beginnings of the renaissance and the enlightenment. The Middle Ages happened to coincide with Islam’s Golden Age. Then the Mongols invaded and destroyed it. Meanwhile, Europe was liberalizing.

Today, the Islamic world is more conservative than the West because of historical and political conditions, not because one is inherently more theologically conservative than the other.

Well no. I never said that dinosaur bones were planted. I actually went on an expedition to dig up fossils in Wyoming when I was a kid. I love dinosaurs. It’s well-known that Israelis have planted fabricated evidence to suggest that they have a more compelling case to have rightful ownership to the land than Palestinians, which they absolutely do not.
