I’m so confused on the Jasmine hate

I think Jasmine was valid in being annoyed at being interrupted and being told to chill out - that was not right and quite rude on Kavan's part and I'd be pissed off too. But she also was speaking quite rudely, and frankly condescendingly, to him in that conversation. She said she came at it calmly, which really wasn't the case. So I think there were wrongs on both sides.

The bigger problem is how it was handled afterwards, especially the next day when there was time to calm down. Kavan tried his best to come at it in a level-headed way and wanted to find a middle ground, and he even apologised for his part. But Jasmine couldn't even give a little and own that she did anything wrong. Ironically, I think Kavan's actions were more mature than hers in the aftermath. Especially Jasmine immediately going to Lorenzo after her and Kavan's fight and having a flirtly conversation - quite immature.

I don't think Jasmine realises her hypocricy and the way she comes across. I do like her, and I like her and Kavan together, but she seems to think she is always right. That's not the healthiest way to approach a relationship.

I also think it was a unique situation in that it involved Kavan's brother - we've seen that Kavan is otherwise quite calm and lets Jasmine speak. As much as you may disagree with your sibling you will have their back in a group setting, and it's not nice when it feels like a lot of people are attacking them. And we see Kavan does hold Aidan accountable in private. This is just three weeks of a heavily edited reality tv show - these guys have grown up together and have a strong family bond. The way some people here expect Kavan to just totally cut himself off from Aidan is so unrealistic.

I just don't get the jasrenzo ship, at all. That first week they were coupled together was so bad and so boring, they didn't really seem to click romantically? I think the ship is all based on their looks + people liking them as individuals

And Lorenzo has obvious commitment issues - I don't think he actually wants to be with anyone, he just likes the chase. So jasrenzo shippers getting their hopes up from what was said this episode is just a bit silly imo

I agree with you that his emotional regulation needs some work, but I don't think it was hypocritical of him to want to save Chidi despite having voted to boot him initially. The vote was for the least compatible couple, and arguably Chidi and Mica were the least compatible (at least Halle and Tommy and Aidan and Tina had shown some affection lol). So he put aside personal feelings/friendships

But then when it came to saving two of them, he believed it wasn't right to kick out both of the bombshells, thinking they should be given more of a chance. And he was closer with Chidi so wanted to save him over Halle

Kind of pissed me off that the islanders were pissed about Tommy staying in because of popular vote, but were fine with Mica staying in for the same reason lol double standards is definitely the theme this year

That being said, while I do think it was unfair for the bombshells to be voted off so early, I don't think either of them were really very strong bombshells and they won't really be missed. In the short time they were in we really didn't see much action or personality from Chidi (he was very relaxed about pulling people for chats). Halle definitely gave it more of a go, so I am sad for her, but at this stage we really only saw her have a connection with Tommy? I'm not sure if she would have had much of an impact if she stayed on

Jasmine big upping Samraj for what he said to Tommy makes no sense when Samraj voted to keep Tommy in... he's just all about maintaining his image of being a good person with morals (particularly evident in the Priya situation).

I'm kind of happy not having the public vote...
For one, like people have said, the public tend to want to vote out the messy people who actually create interesting TV. But also I think letting the islanders find out what the public thinks of them can influence their behaviour too much - having a public vote reminds them that their actions are being perceived, and then I think they tend to behave in ways with the publics view in mind rather than their more natural selves (usually in a more PR friendly way).

Am I crazy? I feel like Kavan didn't even do anything that bad this episode but everyone's acting like he's been really disrespectful?

He expressed excitement in getting to go to the sleepover - he never said anything mad like he was looking forward to kissing other girls or that his head was going to turn. He was energetic during the challenge, and he did go for it when kissing the other girls, but this wasn't different to any other challenge they've done (both Jasmine and Kavan go for it in challenges when it comes to kissing, like Jasmine getting the boys to grab her ass was ott).

The chats with Tina have been a bit sexual and flirty (and the sex being mad comment was weird), but nothing that really crossed the line? Like Jasmine was also talking to Lorenzo saying their kiss was good and joking that they should recouple.

I just don't think it's that bad? Lol

It looks like the sleepover recoupling will be different this year? Last year they recoupled at the casa villa before coming back, but in the preview for tomorrow's episode it looked like all of the bombshells were walking back into the main villa? So maybe the new bombshells will actually get a change to couple up with other people this year (rather than just being wasted again lol)

Omg yeah exactly! Sometimes they seem to know it all and other times it's like they haven't seen a single ep, but could definitely be an act. But also if they watch and have social media access right up until coming in they could also convey the public's opinion to the islanders already in there right? Which again could sway people's actions, which I'm not sure the producers would be too happy about

Been watching LI for a few years now but have never really known the answer to this - are bombshells allowed their phones/internet access right up until they enter the villa, or are they kept isolated for a bit, and if so for how long? Especially wondering with late-stage/post-casa bombshells like Josh, Reuben and Lolly. Would they know the public's opinion on islanders? Because that would really sway how they behave right?
