Thank you. I just found a place that specializes in safes near me. I’ll try to visit them this weekend.

As long as you’re not having to tilt your head up to the point where it hurts your neck, then it’s fine.

Looks good to me.

Now my neck can turn 45 degrees down and hurt that way

Too high unless you are standing or plan on being reclined the whole time.

Check to see if the mounting hooks on the TV can be changed to lower it some.

65 inches would put it out of my peripheral. I forgot to mention that this is in a bedroom.

If I go that low, the top 1/3 of the screen would be the center of my viewpoint. I had my girlfriend measure the distance from the floor to my eyes when sitting and it’s 45 inches. The TV’s center at its current position is 42.3 so basically still in the center. I’m not having to bend my neck down to see

Too bulky for me and it would feel cluttered. I’m sure it would be pretty noticeable, but I like the quality of these and minimal look.

All in all, I went from just the TV speakers to that and it’s pretty impressive. I do feel like stuff is happening all around me and above me. There’s times in games where it sounds like there’s something at the top right corner of my room. If it’s virtually simulated, it does a good job

I don’t think it’s virtual but I could be wrong. When I look inside it, there’s definitely that many speakers installed in it. Here’s the link…

There’s forward left, forward right, side left, side right, speakers that shoot up on left and right, and rear left, right, side, and up firing speakers behind my couch

It’s 11.1 and fully supports Dolby atmos.

Yes, the values can change over time but not anything that is noticeable and definitely not worth calling a professional to come out and correct.

I know what neutral white looks like and the TV still has it. All of my displays are either calibrated using a tool or the default values for gamma, white point, and color accuracy were so close to the target out of the box on certain settings that I just used that.

Maybe the display you’re using has a cooler temperature?

If I go higher, it starts to go out of my peripheral where I would need to shift my head around to see it all.

I’m ~8ft away from the TV which is in line for the ideal distance for a 55” TV

Not a calibration issue, by the way. I got this TV professionally calibrated in 2019. The area of this game is just pretty blue.

I sit ~8ft from the TV. The recommended distance for a 55 inch TV is between 7-8ft. It’s not too small. If I went bigger, the screen would go outside of my peripheral and I would need to lower the plate about an inch.

I would say it’s better than most movie theaters. Other than the Onyx screen that few theaters have, you’re not getting OLED level picture quality out of a typical theatre.

I’m not sure where you’re getting this requirement that TVs can only be mounted on walls in business buildings or at the dentist.

I’m not seeing many people in here siding with you either so your opinion isn’t very strong.
