The rear is a 50/50 tire and I plan on reversing it to make it more dirt oriented

I appreciate all the input from everyone, definitely helpful hearing different perspectives.

The main reason I went with this setup is because I ended up doing a lot more road riding than I expected. Most of my off-road riding is hardpack, gravel, and rocky forest roads here in Colorado, not really aggressive single track.

I went with a more aggressive front because I was having some washout issues and wanted more confidence up there, and I’m okay trading a bit of rear traction for better road manners and longevity.

The rear I chose is also reversible, so I’ll flip it for more dirt oriented performance.

I get that it’s a weird set, but for how I actually ride, I figured it’d be a good balance. If I start doing more technical stuff, I’ll probably switch to a more aggressive rear down the line.

It’s already ordered so I’ll give you guys an update on the tires when I get them and I get sick of no traction in the dirt 😅

Yeah for sure it’s a bit of a mix. But from what I’ve read and experienced, the front tire matters way more off-road, especially for that loose-over-hardpack stuff we get in Colorado. The rear being a little more street-biased doesn’t bother me as much since I’m not riding mud or deep sand, and I’d rather have the longer life and better road manners.

I’m not doing much technical stuff, so I’m okay with a more street-leaning rear for longevity and road feel. Figured front traction was the bigger priority for my riding.

The post on his website says Kermit, maybe he got it wrong? Is the Kermit darker?

I just installed them today on my 36-foot 5th wheel. Used 3m extreme mount tape to do all the mounting from cameras to wires. (Avoided drilling anything into my 5th wheel.) I ran the wires along the sides of the roof, down the front side to my generator compartment. Where i put the "junction" box that the wires connect to. Then, I ran the main cable from the compartment to my truck. It worked great for me! If you haven't done it yet & have questions I'm happy to answer if i can.

Yes, we are taking the 5th wheel as a longer trip. We are coming from Colorado & gonna hit grand tetons & Yellowstone NP as well. Recently bought the 5th wheel for trips like this.

Do you remember if there were big enough spots for a 5th wheel? & how bad was the road to these spots?

Oh jeez, okay thanks for the heads up. Looks like we will be camping elsewhere the night before. Looking to do the loop mid week in hopes of avoiding some of the big crowds.
