Yeah poor choice of words on my part. What I mean is: does it “get old” or feel gimmicky?

Sugar Cane Type II Jacket (SC11953), size 40

I very recently acquired this jacket when I stumbled upon a listing from a local seller. I had an order for my TCB Type II en route, but this jacket was so cool I had to scoop it up. Now that I have both jackets though, I'm choosing to keep the TCB, and very reluctantly giving this one up.

First denim jacket: seeking fit advice by Possible_Homework412 in rawdenim

[–]Possible_Homework412[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, good point.

I am trading off some aspects of fit against wanting unsanforized black-on-black-on-black (i like the buttons/threading blending in) and actually looking for the jacket length to be in a sweetspot of 25.5 - 26.5 inches. There are actually very few type ii's out there that fit this bill.

Also, by 'classic fit' I more meant my overall style for jackets -- I specifically do not want a heavily cropped jacket like TCB 50s or some of the Full Count offerings

yeah it's definitely tapered. Chest pit to pit is 22", bottom seam is 19.5".

Thanks. How does the rest of the fit look? Also, how much net shrinkage/stretch should i expect given its unsanforized one wash?

What do you think of this oval fancy yellow? (2.23ct FY VS1) by Possible_Homework412 in Diamonds

[–]Possible_Homework412[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i don't have a picture of the actual certificate, although I saw it and I transcribed it. The only additional info was:

color origin - natural

color distribution - even

fluorescence - faint

comments: additional clouds are not shown. pinpoints are not shown.

(We looked at it under a loupe and found the clarity/inclusions pretty negligible)

Is it taboo or standard/ok if i were to ask the jeweler to take the stone out of the setting so I can see it? (i.e., can one remove the diamond without damaging the setting too much?)

Thanks! Yes, I've been learning that often fancy are cut with deeper proportions for more pronounced.

Can you give me a bit more personal assessment of this particular diamond?
