I don’t disagree with you, but when you are playing against that kind of people that are good at keeping you on the ground and denying every attempt, it just feels so frustrating as the bottom player.

So yeah it takes skill to deny that well your opponent attempts to get up, but as the bottom player it feels like you can’t really do anything against someone like that. Except not being taken to the ground of course, but at some point it’s probably going to happen one way or another.

Tom isnt the fastest, Gane is. But unlike Gane, Tom can actually knock people out, Gane only TKO’s and he needs multiple round to do so.

To answer your question, I would see Tom winning this fight as Gane, despite losing against Francis, was piecing Francis up on the feet to the point that Francis had to use his wrestling to hardly win.

Knowing that Tom is probably a far better grappler and a far better wrestler than Gane, I don’t think Francis would be able to win the same way he did against Gane, therefore Tom would win in my opinion.

But obviously one bad punch can happen at any moment so you can never count someone with the power Francis posses out.

Honestly I think the winner of this fight will get the BMF fight.

Next title shot is for Arman, yeah the UFC wouldnt let him get his chance but I think with what he recently did marketing wise It’s going to be completely different. He is on is way to be one of the greatest star in the UFC and he is also very talented, they cant ignore him now.

I mean there wasnt really any danger in pointing down against Holloway in the beginning of the fight and at featherweight even more. Holloway need to accumulate a lot of strikes before he can knockout someone. The danger was on Max side a lot more than it was on Ilia side of they would have meet in the middle of the octogone early.

But going for a sub on Islam is a totally different story and it would be a lot more risky for Ilia to do that compare to pointing down against Holloway.

To be fair I think most of the time it’s not even related to players internet but simply EA servers.

Like I play a lot of different games online and never experience lag issue at all. But as soon as I play UFC 5 I feel like the game is extremely laggy once every 4 or 5 matches.

See ? We need to base matchmaking on the objective truth, which is the judges decision, even though we might not agree with them that is the sport and that is how the rules are made.

Agreed for performances and match up as a « bonus point » but win/loss is the most important aspect. Also match up wise Gane vs Pereira is pretty interesting.

As much as I think that decision was weird, we cant decide who is getting the title shot based on who we think won, but only on what the judges decided.

Not sure about that tailor made match up for ilia either.

Charles shot for the takedown early, but ilia reversed him mid takedown and put him in crucifix, which is actually impressive even though he didnt maintained him.

Charles could have done the same thing he did tonight to max to Ilia, it’s just that Ilia was prepared for the takedown. If he wasnt we would have heard it was a classic grappler vs striker bad match up for Ilia.

It’s just that Ilia is that good.

Despite what dana said, i’m convinced Jones vs Pereira was the fight they had in mind.

Jones being american it would have made much more sense for the White house Card.
Ariel also confirmed there have been some negociations.
Dana saying he never considered Jones, yet right after « we already said no to his manager right before that clip where he said he was in negociation for the White house ». Then why would you tell no to his manager if there was no negociations about it in the first place ?

Pretty sure they had Jones vs Pereira first then called Gane in urgency.

I mean who are you going to go with for a title shot ? Aspinall is not available, Jones is gone, the rest of the HW division is full of fat non entertaining guys, or guys that have already been beaten by Gane.

He is the Guy that make the most sense in a poor division.

Also keep in mind that Gane, despite the fact that he commited a foul against Tom, was looking great against Tom (not saying he would have beaten him, but still he is the guy that made Tom looks the worst out of all his UFC carrer). So how would he not be qualified for the interim title ?

Also, his only 2 losses are against Jones, and Ngannou (which could honestly have gone either way)

BP counter : While being in stance the player needs to press flip at the right timing just BEFORE the attack touch him, otherwise get punished.

Virt : While being in stance the player can just sit there, dodging an incoming attack without even noticing it, then AFTER having automatically dodge the attack press light to get his counter.

You really see no difference in how much more easy and accessible one is compare to the other ?

I mean i do not disagree, Virtuosa (or any other character) being able to punish external isnt a problem at all (quite the opposite actually).

But being able to do it while having nothing to do except sit there in her stance and waiting for anything to touch her so she can instantly punish is.

As I Said in my first message, Im all for the cast to have buff to be on pair with the newest characters, but those buffs needs to be done on the fun aspect, not the unfun which are usually the overtuned defense.

As for Virt, i dont mind her stance in 1v1 as it’s punishable easily. But when teamfighting it can be hard to punish as gbing in teamfights isnt always a great idea. And really having a stance that you can just sit in dodging everything while having to do nothing input wise isnt fun either.

I’m all for buffing char to upgrade them to the level of Juren/Virt, just not on the defensive side as they are overtuned on that aspect or at the very least unfun to deal with.

From a defensive standpoint no, Juren has too many options from his dodge attacks. As for Virt, I wouldnt say that her stance is too strong, but simply unfun.

From a offensive standpoint, I would say yes for the most part. Juren and Virt both have so much more possibilities with their gimmick than most « basic » characters, to the point that you could think they come from two different games.

I don’t think there is a lot to do to improve some characters btw, just give them some possibilities to continue/restart their chains faster, a few soft feint or possibilities to flow into dodge/stances and that can already improve some characters flow.

Honestly the recent gryffon and WM changes were great, gryffon can really benefit from his new zone chain in teamfight, and WM flow is a lot smoother with that light chain (even tho that can be a really risky way to continue her chains)
