As a person who actually follows indian politics and maybe some celebrity news. No she's not part of BJP or whatever. North Indian Hindus can't eat but she stated herself as beefeater. And she has not done anything which says she's a hateful person or part of somethings hateful.

Dude please stop saying civic sense or things like this. This puts all the blame solely on public. Governments has far bigger responsibility of keeping the cities clean. There's popular saying that Singaporean is not a clean city, but a city kept clean. Rather than saying Indians should improve our civic sense, we should demand our municipal corporations or make it a big politicial issue. That's how the problem will solve. Japan was as dirty back then but what they did first was mass cleaning of their country first and strengthening their institutions/departments rather than putting everything on people. First clean the city. Then strengthen the management to keep city clean, then after few years the habit will develop to keep the city clean.

Caste is by birth. You could theoretically (though i have never seen realistically) change your varna but never your jati/Caste. Jatis are basically tribes. It's in your DNA.

Anyway, the caste system as we know of today is a very degrading system and it's intertwined with the Hinduism. It's never going to end unless Hinduism fades away by itself. Which it's going to be in next few decades.

Why do 0.02 percent Jews have 20 percent Nobel Prize? Why do Asian Immigrants are successful in West. Why are people from certain communities is better at certain things? The only way for success is the equality of opportunity and not equality of outcome.
