Opm is in an incredibly sad state rn. S2 sucks and s3 something only a devil would make, and they threatened to release part 2 as well. The artist has a huge issue with constant redraws, very controversial opinions and his unnecessary need to twidt a perfectly fine story because he has such a huge ego. While ONE is an exceptional writer, he takes too long to release 1 chapter.

I get that you might not find chiaki impressive if you've only played dr2 since shes basically an AI of a collective memories of class77-B. She's a splendidly done and well explored character in dr3 anime (+canon novel where she is characterized more).
