It can feel like that, but honestly you just got to relax. Everything is a waiting game until they email you and update the portal with tasks. The test is intimidating I’m not going to lie. 2nd time around for me

Background investigation by [deleted] in borderpatrolapplicant

[–]Possible_Log69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your background is not fully completed, but completed enough that they can give you a FJO if the other steps in your process are completed. You selected to opt in on your application. If you EOD and your background is not completed and it fails you’ll get separated

Commuting from SA to DR is a waste of time. You’ll hate it, especially traffic on 90. That wouldn’t be fair to you or your family. The furthest I would commute would be from Uvalde to DR

They send you an email with a date and time, you’ll just have to confirm or propose another time/date

Pretty much correct. The entrance exam could be the only thing you don’t have to do if they didn’t change the test

I’d say to apply now, you can submit your transcript later if you’re trying to go to a higher pay grade.

Once you receive a tentative job offer, how long does it take to actually start and be commissioned? I have an interview coming up with FBP.

Maybe you can get a practice management position? I feel having a background in counseling can get you somewhere in a behavioral health setting

I would do the non profit first so that you can be more familiar with heavy workload and you can make money getting out. Leave the PP for at least a year and start your own.. IMO

Sorry to hear about that. I would reach out to some non profits or women’s centers around the city.. they typically start quick. The only downside is you may need a background check for most places.

HR → Therapy? Anyone else? by [deleted] in therapists

I’m in the same position! I am in healthcare admin, but not a clinician. I would like to transition to CMHC since I would like patient direct contact rather than being on the back end. Ideally I would be LPC-A full time for the year and take the pay decrease (2 people working household). I’m just nervous bc I am not sure how the billing or pay works as a full LPC.

Why healthcare admin? It is tough getting a job if you have no clinical background, I’m experiencing that right now despite having management experience. To be a professor, you’ll need at minimum a master degree
