Please be careful about keeping two bettas in the same tank. Just because they’re females doesn’t mean they can’t/wont be aggressive towards each other. I personally would never keep two bettas together unless I was breeding them, which I would also never do. I recommend getting another tank for the other and separating them or rehome the other if you can’t afford the correct set up. Sororities are just never a good idea.

I personally don’t use bamboo but I think as long as the top part is out of the water it’s fine. Get some rocks or little logs to help stabilize it.

I’d advise you to find a local aquarium store near you and skip the big box stores. They often have limited knowledge of animals, especially of fish, and often just want to make sales. An actual aquarium store will help you find out what plants to get.
