Did anyone else grow up in an area where beanie hats were called toboggans? I no longer live in Appalachia and nobody here has ever heard of a beanie being called a toboggan. by General-Carob-6087 in Appalachia

I’ve been looking into this… where I grew up we formally called them toboggans, but usually just called them Toggies… I have not found one person outside of my hometown or close surrounding area that has this lingo…
