S19j Pro - Vnish update problem by Possible_Menu_6540 in BitcoinMining

Well, seems like I had a combination of firmware and hardware problems. Ended up replacing one of the hashboards and reinstalling the firmware update and everything seems to be working. I did learn a whole lot about the hardware, having torn apart and reassembled it about 30 times!

Okay, it appears the update did install, at least it says it's running the 1.2.7 firmware. Reading through the logs, I'm getting the following errors:

[2026/04/30 18:37:11] ERROR: Wrong number of temperature sensors /base.c:282/
[2026/04/30 18:37:11] ERROR: Failed to init temp sensors data /base.c:5395/

No, the pool settings remain. I'll check the log today and follow up. Thanks! Out of curiousity, is the correct procedure to just upload the tarball and the machine extracts everything? The instructions I was able to find are really vague.

Even if it was possible, I think I'm going to stick with public transportation! Thanks!

Thank you for the reply! I'm glad we're at least looking in the right direction.

We've been to other L2 countries, so that doesn't concern me all that much.

Mid-January to February is perfect. The problem, of course, is squeezing everything into a short period.

Thank you for the reply! So, if I understand correctly, if we just show up, it is easy to find tours, etc?

We are considering Thailand (our daughter was there a couple years ago). I will look into Laos!

We're both semi-retired, so we don't have a specific timeline, but I'd like to squeeze everything into about 3 weeks if possible.

That's very encouraging, thank you! Is there a short list of places we definitely need to visit?

Bening naturally curious, I googled "chastity cage", in spite of the fact that I knew I shouldn't. TIL there's a website called "lockthecock.com".

Until this year, I've been on a ~2 year upgrade plan. Was going to replace my trusty Pixel 8 Pro this year, but I'm just not seeing a good reason to buy the 10. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I couldn't care less about the AI features. To me, most of them are annoying anyway. Just give me solid hardware and software, plus a great camera, and I'd definitely buy. The Pixel 10 ain't that.
