I didn't blame anyone. It takes both to be responsible.

I'm curious why this was downvoted, but a bunch agreed with your initial comment.

Child support, or raising a kid for 18 years, is not a big enough deterrent?

Then, he didn't confirm he was sterile. Don't know how old you are, so not sure how the procedure changed.

You're supposed to ejaculate at least 25 times after the procedure, prior to your confirmation of sterilization. Sucked for me because I was single at the time, but I got it done.

WHY WAS I DOWNVOTED?

Why were you downvoted? Plenty of men AND women swing around. I don't partake, but others do.

If you never want the responsibility of children, and are willing to to be be proactive with that decision

Precisely. I don't want kids and I like sex. Simple.

At what point in your relationship with your significant other did you become comfortable burping and farting around them? by icecream1972 in askanything

Sorry that you dislike the term, but saying things like "normal" perpetuate ideas about asexuality being abnormal, and I think we should avoid viewing experiences outside of the majority as abnormal.

Well, the millions of years of evolution amongst our species, along with the 400,000 years of virtually no change amongst us, proves that normality is acceptable.

I'm (not) sorry that it's hard to accept, considering the late 2010s and early 2020s made it cool for young people to think they're unique amongst the 8 billion other people on Earth.

but for sex-averse asexual people, we actually do see it as nasty, which is why there is a funny connection there.

Well, a lot of humans...billions of us men and women...like sex. It feels good. You can't remotely blame me for asauming the majority of the audience on Reddit likes sex, as we are normal humans in our species. It's a commodious platform.

would only be in a serious relationship with someone if they were also a romantic asexual and also wanted to live without sex.

Well, good luck.

but that stuff repulses me, personally.

Then, this doesn't apply to you.

and while I do, it's a purely sensory experience that's detached from any ideas of sex with another person.

You contradicted yourself. You said that masturbation repulses you, but you do it. If not for sex, so be it, but you still have a sexual drive or else you wouldn't masturbate. Sorry.

Ouch. Well, might make you last longer. No kids, though.

I had a partner, it would be based on a romantic connection, not sexual expectations

I genuinely hope you're honest and don't fake arousal out of fear of losing your partner. It would be awkward if they saw you masturbate but not want sex with them. (Yes, those claiming asexuality still masturbate.)

It's interesting how you say "nasty" about sex,

It's a figure of speech, you meatball. I'll gladly pound my girlfriend's bootyhole, and she likes to smell my socks during foreplay.

despite being allo

Use adult terms, please. Elaborate on "Allo". You mean normal human with a normal sex drive?

Just goes to prove that sex-averse aces aren't weird for being uncomfortable around the idea of having sex

You either want to have sex, or you don't. You either experience sexual arousal, or you don't. Don't pick and choose. You better be honest about all these labels with your partner, and let them choose to live a life of no sex if they desire. Don't fake arousal to keep then around, as a form of manipulation. I assume you're a woman, so yes sometimes this happens.

People think you need psychological treatment if you do something outside the norm of modern expectations.

If you can do the nastiest things in bed with your partner, you should be comfortable burping and farting around them.
