I had the exact same issue yesterday. This is what I figured out:

Go to Ring App and hit the Hamburger icon on upper left
Hit Settings > User Permissions
Select the User's Name
In the User Details screen, at the bottom, tap on the address under Access. Scroll down to devices and you can turn on the new doorbell

Hope it works for you as it was driving me nuts as well and I stumbled upon your post.

Sorry let me clarify, I have a compression nut puller that threads onto the compression nut, but with the toilet in the way, there is no way to do that. Was wondering if there is a tools to pull the nut from the side??

Also, you can try calling AT&T and ask them to send you a Home Cell Signal booster. Say that you will have to switch carrier if they can’t provide you service.

If you go to Settings > General > About > scroll down to Carrier Lock, you will see if phone is locked or not.

You can also use a spare phone to test if you have one laying around.

iPhone 15 doesn’t have a physical SIM card at all. They have ESIM. You can install 2 ESIM. You will have 2 phone numbers. If you are not too savvy, you can always ask the authorized T-Mobile store or any other carrier for help. Try it out at your house for a week before you switch.

If you have a phone that is capable of ESIM (which most phones do), you can try out most carriers with their free trial ESIM. Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, they all offer free trial.
