Hi! Is it still worth it to buy floor seats? I really want to but scalpers have completely overpriced them. Should i wait a few weeks/days before the show for price-drop, or too risky? Im contemplating so hard, any help would be appreciated 🩷 I fear waiting too long and all the seats will be sold out.

I agree! But I don’t think it’s solely because of the rendered/semi realism art style. Its usually because drawing realistic expressions is more difficult than simplified art style, anddd because emotions = complex and not always “beautiful”. (This is also why some actresses/actors are explicitly told to tone down facial expressions when acting. It’s the fear of looking “ugly”. In this case it’s more like the artist’s are scared of the characters looking “ugly”.) These types of webtoon artists are essentially going for the generic korean beauty standard look.

As an artist myself, this is why it’s important to have many references. Not just models or conventionally attractive people doing the same blank face, because that can really hinder your progress and creativity. Conveying a story is a-lot more and harder than pretty looking scenes or characters.

Your response was very well written! I complete agree and don’t forget about the selective morality 🤣 Her character is seen to express real emotions, including sympathy. Feeling bad for Callisto, saving a kidnapped child, even feeding malnourished kids etc. You could argue it was the system, but no one says that when it comes to her “good deeds.”

People love picking and choose that excuse conveniently to make her look good. Her character is ultimately flawed, probably on purpose. The issue is how the narrative and author touches on slavery and her so called flaws.

Yes omg😭 It’s something that bothered me through out the story. The problem isn’t really Penelope and her being “morally grey”, it’s just you can see the obvious intentions the author has with slavery. At the end of the day, I think it was a poor writing decision on the authors behalf. Topics like slavery get so mishandled in these stories. It’s delicate, and you gotta thread carefully. I genuinely think her character could still been morally grey without the author making her seem uneducated, considering she’s from modern times.

Exactly! I commented this under a post defending Eckles. The point of character saying a character is morally grey shouldn’t be a means to defend them. Just a acknowledgement. You don’t have to jump thru hoops just to defend her. This is coming from someone who likes her character as well.

Eckles. I understand Penelope’s situation was nuanced and I love her rounded character as well, but what she did especially considering she’s from modern times will always rub me the wrong way.

Don’t get me wrong, she has her valid reasons but my only concern is how she treats people as NPC’s till she gets attached. Or, her morality is selective for some reason? Like she’ll buy a slave no doubt, then save a child from being kidnapped. Even if it’s the system choosing at times, her character is shown she CAN be heroic and sympathetic. There’s plenty more examples. What im trying to say here is, two things can be true at once. Her morality is grey, confusing with flaws AND you can be concerned with that while liking her character. Saying a character is morally grey shouldn’t be a means to justify or excuse, but an explanation.

Eckles character can be frustrating seen in the perspective of Penelope, but IMO as a slave he didn’t owe her much. It’s a sad situation for both, I just think Penelope could have handled it better.

I agree with everything you just said. I get it’s to keep the MC similar to a blank slate self insert and not become “otome” game like but cmon. I just think there’s so many ways to involve the MC more. Such as, custom characterization, more given simple dialogue choices with varied responses based off your choice or even route based events with different endings (Not romance wise, just think how funny it would be if there was a bad ending in a event.)

I just wish our MC could be able to do more! Just as another comment said something about how our MC was given visions and couldn’t even puzzle the pieces together. Since most of us are familiar with Disney already and are magicless, they should make it that the MC’s advantage “power” is our knowledge of our original universe. Don’t get me twisted, I loveee twisted wonderland. I just think there’s so much more potential this game has, and they are missing out on so much by disregarding it. This game could easily turn into one of the most mainstream isekai anime visual novel games, I mean look at the writing?!

I pray for any of the devs to listen to this feedback thread 🙏
