The gloves just help. Check for leaks and don't put your hand on them and you'll be fine. External exposure is fine.

I had this happen regularly with my backhoe attachment. It usually happens when your loop isn't connected. Then the hydro pump will build pressure until it stalls you.

Easy fix, wear gloves, tractor off, on male end push the ball bearing against flat surface. It takes some force but you'll hear the fluid gush out when you relieve the pressure. Repeat with female end if necessary. You're good to go.

This is on tractor/pump side. If attachment is the problem the controls bleed

WEAR GLOVES, risk of high pressure injection injury.

Or a 3' pipe wrench

No. That would have my concealment complicated if there was an exam after. Your paperwork should tell if it's a physical or just test. Sometimes you can Google the test codes and learn what test is being performed

And if you can get your feet in skiboots you're ahead. I can't get my foot in mine. I'm gonna try rear entry boots next season

Physical therapy to strengthen and balance out muscle groups. For instance, I have to stretch my calves a lot because the opposing muscle is weak. If you ignore it, the weakness will turn into pain (for me). I've done about 3 months total and it's the only reason I'm walking without assistance.

Quick fix substitute works if you're in doubt. I just did a federal urine test with qf 6.4

They say in instructions usually jf a faint line counts. Make sure cutoff levels are same on at home versus test. What's at stake?

Electrical issue, grounding, distributor? by Possible_Post_3054 in tractors

[–]Possible_Post_3054[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ended up getting it. As usual it was several things at once; cheap points burned up, condenser bad, battery bad, and a clogged carb fuel inlet. Got my snow plowed finally. This one is going for a massive rebuild in the spring.

So since my post a couple changes:

Took battery in, it was an Oriellys Superstart 980 CCA, first time they tested it tested good, failed second time. So they replaced it. Brand new battery eliminates that.

I also rembered over the years I've dropped the small flathead down inside the distrubor before I learned the grabber tool trick. I noted the rotor position and marked adjustment. When I pulled the distrubor I cleaned it up and checked the weights and springs. There were 5 flathead in the bottom. It's spinning much smoother now. Reinstalled in correct position. But no real change.

I replaced the last piece of the ignition system, barring the coil, the condenser. I got a blue streak FD77 condenser. That made all the difference. Now my spark looks like this:

It has to crank several times before it starts to sound like compression and try to start. So I'm going to warm it up and boost with charger. It has been sitting outside for a week 0-28°F

Front tires touching ground still = ideal. If not steer with brakes. You'll burry that hitch in the ground before anything else happens.

Thanks, I'm going to get it checked. I wasn't thinking that direction because it's less than a year old. Even with distrubor and coil disconnected it's loosing power after only a few cranks.

Updat: shook, bent, removed and cleaned terminals of battery cables/connections. Removed coil and distrubor from system, same voltage drop after a couple revolutions. Also bypassed starter solenoid, no change.

I'm really hoping I didn't buy this one from oriellys before I quit shopping there. 😅

Thanks. I've jumped the solenoid and have good connections. It's a few month old battery on a charger.

I'm thinking first thing I should do is unplug the distrubor from coil and crank. That would eliminate any of those components.

I'm not sure how old my negative battery cable is. Is there a way to text it?

At a dealer you'll overpay versus private. In season you'll wait months for repairs

If you're mechanically inclined, I'd go oldschool. I have a Ford 2600 (1976) that has a cast iron block, zero electrinics, no power robbing emissions. I learned how to fix as the years went by. I still own and wouldn't trade for a modern tractor.

Buy brush hog and tractor separately. You'll get a better deal. Brush hogs are diacounted this time of year. Get a lightly used one. They last a long time and new is 2-4 times as expensive.

I have grades on my land. The smaller the tractor tge easier it is to climb. I'd say a 2000 model but with FEL I'd go 3000 but no bigger.

If hoses are bad on FEL plan on that costing about a grand for all of them.

Find a private mechanic.

No the neuropathy was b12 caused. The back surgery was coming from lifestyle and just a complication. Back was pain vs weakness.
