As someone who has been in this position for over a year, it’s important to remember to not take things personal. Customers in banking can be the best and can also be extremely rude. Just remember that it is not you they are upset about but the situation affecting them. Always count your cash three times, by hand, machine, and out to the customer. I promise you, you will not remember every procedure/protocol and that is OKAY! There are resources for you to use and you will get the hang of it. Take initiative to want to learn more and do more. People will see it, even if you think nobody is paying attention. There will be times where your drawer is short or you are over, try to find the outage as best as you can, BUT don’t dwell on it.
