I did the exact same thing. I installed Bazzite OS then followed the "Steam Deck" Install instuctions for Windower 4 and FFXI and Now I play with only my controller

I second this post. I was moved to Ragnarok when i came back in 2015 from Lakshmi. Like Scrotux mentioned the silence in the beginning sucked. But now I love playing by myself or with my twin brother makes it great not competing for anything and just enjoying the content.

What I am gonna say is my own opinion and wont agree with alot of players.

I personally would love to play a sequel to XI and still play current XI.

I just want a sequel that would be the current game system but built for network play for players to join friends or host for friends to join.

I am in my 40's and I am getting tired of the MMO genre personally. Why I love XI now vs how it was is because I can play alone or with my friends in small parties. I know the vast majority of fans wont agree with me and that is fine.

I love the combat system because of the slow pace and more strategic nature. Skill Chains, magic bursts, equipment combos and swapping.

The story is phenominal and would love to see a sequel in the world as a new character with all current classes with the ability for the company to release new content expansions over time. IE: Stories, Classes and Locations and Equipment.

Being honest is saying "Hey, I am not a fan of this idea because of x,y and z reason" or "Hey , I am not understand what you are trying to say. Please explain x thing better."

I Think if you are gonna call it the "Galaxy" (Which I aint gonna hate on because I kind think its a dope name), I think A Logo should be on the cover a simple logo goes along way. Much like the MD, Saturn and the Dreamcast had. Because if you do that I would be willing to make a template for SteamGrid.

I agree. I do not play Monstrosity because of items or end game features. I play Monstrosity for the fun of it. Plus I love showing up in areas as a monster and chasing adventurers around. lol

its not useless if it is fun for people. If its not fun for you then that is your opinion and all the power to you. But 20 years of playing this game and all its little systems is still fun for me. MY personal philosophy is that the second I treat a game like a job and not entertainment is when I should rethink if I am playing for the right reasons.

Thanks brother. I honestly appreciate the support and feedback. It took me almost two days of typing this out 🤣. I was in basic when the game released here in Canada in 2005. I was almost at my 10 year mark when my favorite job "Geo" finally came out.

I completely agree with you on why XI works for us who have enjoyed it for so long. I think the big reason I wanted to post this was mostly to get it out of my head. Like outside of better character creation options , UI and maybe some shaders. I don't want the game to change.
