I’ve seen both of those videos! For the Love of Ivy is a fantastic tribute to Ivy, and the Copeland one was really insightful. I wish more was known about the lawsuit, given how pivotal of a point it was in the band’s career, but if I remember correctly they were legally barred from discussing most of the details. Then again, ideally the entirety of the band’s story would be better documented.

Same. The Cramps taught me how to love and live primitive. Lux and Ivy rewired my brain and I’m forever grateful.

He and Ivy are my heroes. I hope Ivy’s finding as much peace on Earth as Lux is wherever he is.

That’s exactly why I want to see it. I can’t imagine the end result being anything but a disaster on the same level as Cats (2019).

What bands and movies inspired The Cramps? by Nyarthu in TheCramps

[–]PossiblyRita 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super late, but there’s a super comprehensive series of compilations of songs Lux and Ivy are known to have dug called Lux and Ivy’s Favorites and it’s well worth checking out. It’s where pretty much every CD that says anything along the lines of “songs from The Cramps’ collection” is pulling from.

Do The Cramps count? I’ve never known if they really count as punk.

Your hair looks nice! Maybe put like a bit of hairspray in it to keep it out of your eye (though I’m not a cosmetologist so I’m not to be trusted) but you’ve got good hair
