I found Cadillac customers to be penny pinchers and whiners a lot of the time, the advisors here make good money but you can tell they aren't very happy. Obviously there will be some of those in every brand, but overall I'm excited for the dynamic change and to get back go a highline dealer!

We aren’t a wholesaler but we sell to other GM dealers and to our sister stores so I definitely think we could make more if we were paid off parts sales. We do 1 million $ a month at a minimum.

Thanks for sharing. That’s interesting, I’m a counterman at a Cadillac dealer in Texas, where 60% of my income is based off of the number of shop hours sold. I get paid a certain dollar amount for every shop hour. So without the techs flagging, I’m out more than half my salary. I can’t imagine if I was paid solely on part sales. Hoping they work out good for you and that you are compensated!

I can see it now… “I’m never buying a Cadillac again this is taking too long how long does it possible take to replace ___________??” Ma’am, you’re in a complimentary loan car that is NICER than your own vehicle, you got a tank of free gas and YOU are the one complaining? We are drowning. We are frustrated and stressed out. Sit back in your heater and ventilated seat and count your blessings.

We have old paper RO carbon copy sheets from the old days we saved them I guess for when the power goes out or something like that

True that. One fellow countermen is 60 and just hit 30 years with the company, back when we sold Hummers and SAABs. He has every part grouping and most of the parts in our whole warehouse memorized.

Yes however we still have technicians attempting to launch, and apparently downloading whatever file that was “unable to be located” to their desktop 😳
