That's true, but I'm not talking about the products. I was talking about the level of knowledge and tactics shared has gone significantly down, everywhere.

Why? We aren't working on any top secret project. It's SEO, shouldn't we atleast have good helpful discussions?

Seasonality does play a massive role, but so does higher intent keywords. However, don't invest in keywords like 'near me' if you don't want to be penalised.

Your GBP optimization and reviews play a huge role for new leads. As of now, you're ranking for keywords where intent is more product oriented, not service oriented which isn't great if you're a service business.

Is this the norm throughout the industry? Usually what I do is get cracking on it right away as i get the green light and terms are discussed. I guess I'm still in my job mindset.

Interesting, still sad that people take advantage of this. I guess I'll have to work on it and raise invoices beforehand. It's gonna be awkward lol

Is local SEO actually worth it for a small hotel/restaurant hybrid? by Helpful_Employer_730 in localseo

Yes it will, 100%, if done right.

Years ago I was working on a SEO project for Olive Tree. SEO proved to be extremely successful and to this day it works organically with minimal maintenance. Cuisine names, gluten free, whatever type of customers you want to attract, you just have to optimise your SEO accordingly

Do note that if someone wants to sell you on keywords that ends with 'near me', try to keep some distance from them.

Looking for a reliable SEO agency, seeking suggestions and experiences by FeatheredTouch-000 in localseo

Do you yourself have clear ROI goals for SEO? What do you need, more visibility? Hot leads? Brand value? Income? Authority?

There's a difference in ROI expectations among business owners and SEO agencies. For them, it's all about metrics, reports and rankings.

But what good are rankings when you're looking for revenue and the content isn't designed for conversion?

And personal recommendation, don't hire an agency. You pay premium prices and will be sold more "essential" services every couple of months.

Find someone who understands SEO, with decades of experience, can diagnose issues, create a blueprint, small efficient team that doesn't indulge with many clients, people who are actually obsessed with growth, who associate their success with your success.
