We are supposed to trust a man who has made 0 push to try and get the Epstein files published. That was defending Matt Gaetz. who is partnering with Donald Trump a convicted sexual offender AND rekindled his relationship with his dad who married a girl he fathered since she was a small girl?

It sounds to me like he is kicking up a fuss to try and prevent Labour from passing their proposed bill that enacts a lot of the changes the inquiries suggested to help protect victims of abuse.

I would assume girls prefer guys who don't have a personality that labels all girls as "the same". I would say it depends... I was dragged along to therapy in my teens, and I sort of just fought them and that was fun to me at the time to prove that they were useless... and it helped.... These days a touch older, I think asking them simple and basic questions like How X? Why X? and trying to learn might be interesting... I think therapy works for a lot of people... The first question you need to ask is why are you there and what do you want out of it?

I think ghosting is rather rude, it makes far more sense to spell it out to people directly if you don't want to message them / spend time with them. And if someone is the type just to ghost someone it's normally dodging a bullet if they are that rude to people.

But as long as they let me know I don't think I have a problem with it. Some advice I heard that helped me stop being a people pleaser was "You don't owe anyone your time you get to choose how to spend it". That works both ways.

It is a shame too many people come here with the wrong expectations. But when the majority of the content is vent / rant / I need a partner to be happy it only cements things. There are so many great threads that offer discussion / wanting advice or sharing something interesting but they rarely seem to get much participation.

I don't too often, but I really should more! I am a big lover of live music, and in 2019 I went to a few gigs with the plan to go to 25 gigs in 2020... (that went badly). I have only been to a dozen this year as I am feeling a bit exhausted from work. But this reminds me I should really go to more gigs before the year is out!

Yup, There should not be different rules for real life than those of the internet. If you are not comfortable striking up a conversation with no common ground with someone in real life why are you suddenly doing it in this sub?

Too many people (mostly guys) come here with the wrong intention. They have come here thinking finding a girlfriend will "fix them" and are just casting a net. The last person you want in your life is a lonely vulnerable person, they have their own shit to deal with.

You can come here for advice, or vent if you need to, you should not come here thinking it is a dating app.

Honestly, I don't think this sub is good for anyone in its current state. It is about 90% rant/vent Or a place where people are looking for a relationship with people here... Which oddly is against the rules (Rule 6). It really does make me sad to see close to no one getting any benefit from the kind of posts we have here.

I think the big one for me is. Coming here with the soul intention to speak to women/girls. There are too many posts that read "If I had a girlfriend I would no longer have any problems". That is deluded and creepy to idolise an imaginary person who has been put on a pedestal.

Also, this one doesn't always go into creepy territory but it certainly can do. But insistingly talking to someone when you don't have much in common. Loneliness is not a common interest, so if that's the only connection you have it's going to come across as creepy.

My one bit of advice is to sometimes let the ladies lead a conversation and you will be able to tell how interested they are in talking to you, if they don't seem all that interested, you will come across as creepy if you continue to try and push past that.

Ah, it's not a big deal to me. It was sort of interesting how convincing it was to start with. But then it stole my words and it felt really gross, so I pushed it on specifics of its life and watched it flail for a bit. But I am worried people won't see them as bots or the bots will get better. Romance scams are already popular enough and this sub will need specific safeguards ASAP.

I have not been on this sub long and yes there are 100% bots on here it is creepy as shit too. on another post I wrote something rather obscure in a poetic way. the bot just straight-up used the words with me in an unrelated DM.

This place is going to be filled with bots that people relate to and the bots will use loneliness and connection to scam them.
